Disney's Port Orleans Resort – Riverside features 2,048 guestrooms in buildings set around the Sassagoula River and its various waterways. Decorated in the style of the era of riverboats and Mark Twain, the rooms fall into two themed areas: Magnolia Bend offers antebellum-style architecture in a stately three-story mansion with two-story wings that spread along the river, and the Alligator Bayou section features rustic, country-style lodges that are two stories high (no elevators). All rooms have in-room safes, TVs, and refrigerators. Many have views of the courtyard, the landscaped grounds, or the river. High-speed Internet access is available (surcharge).

“Really comfortable and clean plus free shuttle to/from airport and extra Disney hours, worth it”
Really comfortable and clean plus free shuttle to/from airport and extra Disney hours, worth it. With Magical Express service, the hotel also did airline check-in and printed out boarding pass for us. Really convenient, no hassle.
“Had good time”
Room was dirty after late checkin, but housekeeping came and took care of it. Room credit was issued and we were satisfied. Beds very hard and uncomfortable. Very Long walk to bus stop, front desk, and pool because of large size of resort. Double sinks a nice touch being separate from toilet and shower.
“Wonderful experience”
Cannot wait to rebook this hotel. I was wary after reading reviews but it was wonderful.
“Riverside was beautiful”
Beautiful resort. Could have spent more time there but also very relaxing to "come home" to after a day in the parks.
“Disney Thanksgiving”
Our family loves the Disney experience, including the on-site lodging. We have stayed at the Port Orleans Resort 2-3 times, and still enjoy the property. Servicing of room was a bit less perfect (eg-failure to restock amenities, cleaning chemicals left in room, shaking door rugs out while we were eating in dining room), but overall, our experience was very good, and we would repeat it.
“Not At All Clean”
The room was not clean, in fact it was disgusting. We turned down the bed and there was hair all over the linens (obviously not ours since we only stayed one night). The bathroom was tile floor and it obviously had not been swept or mopped because there was a lot of hair all over the tile (again, not our hair), the toilet had a hairball floating in it, and the shower had hair in it too. The corners of the tile floor were filthy too, so when mopping was actually done, it wasn't there. We stayed with our toddler and we did not even let him walk around in the room (he stayed in his playpen and we held him) because we were concerned about what he might find. We could tell that a lot of work was put into the room itself as far as decorating and the furniture was nice, but the cleanliness of the room was just terrible and we will not even consider staying there again.
“Pleasantly Surprised”
We stayed here for a quick weekend trip to Disney. We are DVC members and usually stay at the Beach Club when we go to Disney, but this trip was out of pocket, so to save some money we stayed at a moderate. We were in a recently remodeled room in the Acaidan section and it was very nice and very close to the main building. Eating lunches and breakfast was convenient at the hotel and it was too chilly for us to go swimming, but the pool looked pretty neat. The only real minus was the bellhop service was a little bit lacking, but the gentleman that came and got our bags when we were checking out was prompt and courteous. We would definitely stay here again.
“Can't wait to go back”
This stay at Port Orleans Riverside was a pleasant surprise! My daughter and I travel to WDW several times a year, and had been less than impressed with Riverside lately. The service had seemed to slip a bit. But, this time, we loved everything about it, even the Alligator Bayou room location, which we usually do not enjoy. It was reasonably close to the main building and bus stop, but on a quiet and peaceful path. The landscaping was really beautiful. We also had a pool view, which is an upgrade, courtesy of our check-in desk clerk. The bus service was fairly quick, although we did have to stand sometimes. The food court was great, as always, especially the desserts!
“No Computers...Really?”
I absolutely could not believe they didn't have a business center! I wanted to go online and print out my boarding pass and there wasn't any place on the property to do that.
“nice surroundings”
the hotel located in a very nice surrounding at riverside. Beautiful location and we like the serenity. But the rooms are small and old. Interior should be renovated and fully changed, because not comfortable and very very old.
