Great food choices/large complex

Posted 22-Oct-2014
The food court choices are fabulous. We enjoyed having hot meal choices made right in front of you. Lots of healthy and delicious choices with very fresh ingredients. Quick takes for lunch made it easy for all of our meals, either on the go or sit down. There is something for everyone. Create your own pastas, ethnic meals, omelets made to order, meatless choices and Angus meat hamburgers. Great pastries and Gelato too. Nothing tasted frozen, only fresh. The walk from our room to the food court and Disney transportation was long, over a mile because the complex is so huge. There is only one main center in the middle. We didn't try room service but figured it may take a while because of the distance but we'll let someone else talk about that. Definitely recommend this hotel as a wise choice for families. Packed with lots of options from room types to food choices.

Close to Disney World

Posted 19-Oct-2014
Pros: Cute for small children that like Disney characters
Cons: It is too late as all the rooms are built in the Mermaid complex in which we stayed. A place nearby to get morning coffee.
Rooms are very small. Double beds only. Not enough space for your luggage or space in dresser for your clothes. Vanity too small and not enough space for toiletries. No coffee pot. Only plastic chairs to sit on.

Art of Animation is a great Disney resort!

Posted 18-Oct-2014
Pros: The rooms/suites, the cleanliness, the themes, the pools, the food selection... EVERYTHING!
My husband, our 3-year-old son who loves Disney Cars, and my mom all enjoyed a great stay at Disney's Art of Animation. We stayed in a Cars family suite. We had a split stay with Disney's Coronado Springs due to a business conference I attended at Coronado Springs... and, while we like the Coronado Springs, including its wonderful pool, in all honesty, we loved Art of Animation more for the rooms/suites, the cleanliness, the themes, the pools, the food selection... EVERYTHING! We are looking forward to visiting Art of Animation again... and, who knows? Maybe again and again :-)

Great lower prices hotel for on property Disney lo

Small rooms but you are really never in your room when at Disney. Very clean, nice pools, large parking lots. There are 10 buildings but still close enough together not to be cumbersome. My sons favorite was the pools and the 2 hidden mickeys in the bathroom!

Disney Art of Animation

Posted 13-Oct-2014
Pros: Lots to do when not in the parks. I enjoyed walking the trail along the lake in the mornings.
Cons: Only ate in the food court area a few times. We bought our food and ate in the room. To crowded and noisy.
Location: The location was close to all of the Disney parks.
This was the first visit for my 3 year old grandson. He loved it all. He had his picture taken with all the Cars Characters. The staff was always helpful and friendly.

not up to Disney Standards

Posted 10-Oct-2014
Pros: The pool, the layout of the hotel. The convenience of the facility with the park location.
Cons: the help. having more people that speak english and understand it. Having people that can help you and know where stuff is. Very disappointing
Location: Location was great, buses there to take you to park every 15 minutes.
I know this is cheaper price than most of Disney's hotels but it is still Disney. I was dssapointed in the foreigners working in the resort that could not help you or understand what you needed. This is America where English is the language. I bought microwave popcorn and I could not find anyone that could tell me where a microwave was that was working in the cafeteria. They told me there was one in Cars part of hotel and after walking way out the way to Cars there was not one there, after 30 minutes of trying to find one, I went back to the room and called front desk to find out that there is one in the cafeteria where I purchased the popcorn. This is ridiculous. The pool was nice and the lifeguards were great. the AC in the room did not work and when we called to complian we were told it is auto thermostat and cannot be lowered which made no sence at all because why would you have a thermostat in the room if you cannot control it. I really think there are alot of people working in the hotel that have no clue about the hotel itself and cannot help you with simple things. They should be trianed on the facility and where things are and guest relations before they start. Will not stay in this hotel again, very disappointing even with the low price.

1 night stay before cruise

Posted 08-Oct-2014
Pros: Price and theme
Location: The resort is not far from downtown Disney.
Very nice themed resort. Food court had enough choices for the entire family. Bus service was not a problem. Pool areas were lovely however you need to bring your own towels as they are not available by the pool.
