Don't listen to naysayers

Posted 27-Jan-2015
Pros: The room rate and that it was new drew us to this hotel. You cannot beat Disney.
Cons: The decor is geared to children but I found it a it tacky. The walls are thin and noise was heard in the room.
Location: The location was great and Downtown Disney is easy to get to even though it was under construction and hard to get around,
My husband and I stayed for the weekend. We were in the Lion King building. It was not fancy like the Polynesian but still comfortable. Rosa at the check in desk was great and Jason in the cafeteria was very helpful. The walk to Animation Hall was not as far as some of the other reviews said. The variety of food was mind boggling in the cafeteria. And not expensive.

The room

Posted 26-Jan-2015
Pros: It was a cute room...great for my Granddaughter. Easy access and the characters around the grounds were cute. The pool was nice but cold weather
Cons: Lighting and someplace to put your stuff
Location: We were too far from the lobby and gift shop and quite a walk with a little one to the parking lot. So we would choose a different building next time
the room was much smaller than I expected. There wasnt anyplace to put stuff. The top of the dresser had the tv on it and not useable space. Maybe the tv could be mounted on the wall for more space. The bathroom lighting was way too dark especially when you shower.

A pretty good resort for the price

Posted 26-Jan-2015
Pros: Color & includes a great Disney vibe.
Cons: Room service could of been done better.
Location: There are three pools and a arcade, so there is never a chance to be bored.
When I first arrived at this resort I did not expect it to be so big. This is a great resort for kids and for people who really want to gain the Disney experience. There are buildings based on the little mermaid, cars, lion king, and nemo. Originally, I ordered a standard room with the garden view but when I arrived I was given a room with the lake view. It was unexpected, but a positive thing. There are three pools for families to enjoy. They also have a pretty decent variety of food to choose from; however, since it`s Disney the food was definitely a little pricey for the quality.

Rooms were far!! Not impressed at all!

Posted 24-Jan-2015
Staff was nice & helpful. However, We stayed in the Little Mermaid building & I hated that the buildings were all spread out & not connected to main lobby. It was more like a motel. And the distance from lobby to room was far!! We were already walking all day at parks & to come back & walk another 1/2 mile to our room sucked! To top it off, we had no cell phone or Internet reception in rooms. That made things worse! They said it was due to thick walls in rooms. Ok?! Also, rooms got a little warm during the night. I woke up once or twice b/c it was hot.

Loved the room, except for its location

Posted 24-Jan-2015
Pros: Most of all, its theme.
Cons: Location of transportation bus stops, too far away from Little Mermaid.
Location: Ther e was no problem with the buses, getting to the parks.
Enjoyed the hotel, its theme and loved the brightness.
