I know I read many say the noise and the hot water first off that’s a Florida hotel in general that tends to be a minor issue. I learned simply close bathroom door and most the noise was muffled

The place was awesome inside out, but the surrounding neighborhood was quite noisy, especially there was a wedding venue next to us and they were blasting music til 11.

Location was very convenient. Parking was easier during the week. Property is located next to a wedding venue so lots of traffic on weekends but it was perfect spot. Would definitely stay here again!

The property was clean and spacious, we had a second floor room with a view of the courtyard that seemed pleasant at first. After dark however, with the courtyard lighting, it was not possible to darken the room, which remained lit all night long. There were no drapes on the windows, just simple manual wooden louvers. Monday night was relatively quiet except for the raceway noises from the nearby (roughly 30 feet from the property) highway ramp. Then Tuesday at five PM, the party in the courtyard began, with music and animated, boisterous conversations and laughter which continued through midnight.

Loved the facilities. Very clean and very friendly and helpful housekeeping staff. Took a walk by the water and was followed by men who appeared to be homeless so did not feel safe to walk even during daylight hours. The property was very clean and well kept.

Great, central location. If you go in prepared for it to be a little noisy due to the bar on location, you'll be fine! Great atmosphere in and around the location! Great alternative to a traditional hotel! Would stay again if needed!

Beautiful retro property
We love the property. Only problems I had were the courtyard music went until midnight. Also since the bathroom has a glass wall that is shared by the bedroom. The bedroom gets fairly bright when you turn the light on in the middle of the night.

The history of this property was very interesting. Very clean, and the convenience of the bar in the back yard was amazing, easy to order, great service, and a very warm feeling environment. The lights from outside came through the shutters over the windows and the bedroom was never dark. If you like to sleep with a lamp or light on then you would love it. The venue next door had a wedding going on all night and the noise was heard all night long, literally like having a loud radio in the room. The bed is extra firm, and the pullout couch mattress springs left actual bruises. Other than the sleeping issues we enjoyed our trip and the time here.

My only disappointment was that we were only staying for 1 night. What a gem of a hotel. I had no idea of what we were getting when I blocked it. I was just looking for something close to the amway center. This hotel is in a quaint old house with individual rooms upstairs.. our room had a balcony that looked over the restaurant with music and beautiful landscape and lighting. It is also only a 10 minute walk to the Dr Phillips Center for Performing Arts I will definitely stay here again anytime I will be at the Amway Center or Dr Phillips Center

The property is well maintained and really close to the downtown area. Has all the amenities one needs for a comfortable short stay but is very noisy due to the events venue next door, music from the restaurant area and property maintenance (leaf blowers) going at it since 7am.

Parking was horrible, and the bar next door was very loud but was quiet when we went to bed. The smell was awful when we arrived. And there was ice in the freezer for so long that there was about 2 inches of frost on it

Over all I would say it was fair. It was clean except bathroom sink looked like it hadnt been cleaned in a while. It was a handicap room so there was no door on bedroom to bathroom. So if you needed to go and someone was sleeping they could see and hear you. There was no basic cable tv actually the only tv you could get was if you casted your phone or ipad. instructions were wrong also. There was no bottled water or any machines to purchase any. It was rather noisy since it was next to the freeway. The one nice thing was the Wellborn restaurant next door.

It’s quaint and tropical and you feel like you’re not in downtown Orlando. Easy access to everything. There is a bar/ restaurant on property that can be loud if you’re room faces the courtyard. We will be staying there for any future visits to Orlando

I read a review that likened this place to “lipstick on a pig” and it could not have been more accurate. We checked in to find our parking pass wasn’t placed in our room and the hot water wasn’t working. Luckily maintenance was able to fix it, but it’s obvious this whole unstaffed hotel concept is not working because I had to spent an hour on the phone trying to get ahold of off-site customer service. We both were kept up all night by loud noises and a very bright light that was kept right outside our windows which didn’t have adequate shades to block the light. The room is completely unsuited for sleep with that amount of light. Not to mention the AC only goes down to 68, which really felt like 75 and there was no ceiling fan or other fans to control temperature. Skip at all costs and don’t trust the misleading pictures online.

Are you guys in for cold showers, plumbing issues, or loud music blasting until 5 a.m. so you get no sleep? This is the hotel for you! They have "great maintenance" who never shows up to fix your hot water issue within 24 hours they promised.

I have stayed more than 300 nights at Hotels com properties. This is definitely the worst ever. The bad (mold?) smell in the room, the unbearable noise for the music in the courtyard, the lack of warm water, the complete abscense of staff on site. I fail to understand how this is still on Hotels com - a place I trust for all my travel! (???)

I love the old property the feel and the style. The electric door locks were a little on issue - they did not work half the time - had to put the codes in several times before they worked. And they prob should tell you or post on their site that large property wide speakers are blasting music right outside your room window until 1am and are back on at 11am takes away from the charm of the historic hotel and 1920’s rooms. They do leave ear plugs in the room for you - but who wants to sleep with ear plugs on - not what I paid for. But the charm is certainly there.

Loudest hotel/apartment I’ve ever stayed at
The bar/courtyard right outside the bedroom window is cranking music past midnight every night. I should have know it was going to be bad when they supply ear plugs on the night stand. The property description says there could be noise due to construction but says nothing about the bar out back. Couldn’t get any sleep and they wouldn’t let me check out a day early to find a quieter place to stay. I will not be staying at any Sonder hotels again, especially this one. On top of the noise, the pictures are misleading on what the room looks like. Carpets are all stained and the bed is falling apart. Spiders all in the bathroom as well. The only thing this place had going for itself is the price.

Unbeknownst to me, there was a bar on the property that played loud music for noisy patrons till1am each night of our stay. I should have known that the room would be noisy when I walked in and there were packages of ear plugs on each night stand. Additionally, the room had no independent temperature control and while the room was cool during the day the A/C was clearly reduced each night of our stay making the room unbearably warm - to the extent that we packed up and left at 3am on our final day.

The room was nice and clean. The TV didn't have cable and was not told that. There was no kitchen even though there were dishes. Pictures I saw of the room was not necessarily of the room I got so was very misleading. Will not rent again.
