“Don't beleive the negative reviews”

We are currently staying at the Claremont Hotel and it doesn't deserve the poor reviews. The staff have all been polite and pleasant. We were surprised to find that there is a free continental breakfast - bagels, cream cheese, jams,cereals, muffins, juice & coffee - all that you need to start the day. Don't expect 5* luxury 'cause your not paying for that. It's a good basic hoel at a good price and in a great location. From the front of the hotel you can see several restaurants that are all in easy walking distance. A big thing for us was the pool - it is perfect - a good size and heated to just the right temperature. My wife is very fussy and she is happy with this hotel - that should be recommendation enough for anyone!

“Stay somewhere else”

They are building another hotel next door and the workers start drilling at 7am. The hotel's key printing system was down so the entire stay I had to go to the front desk and have them send someone to open the room. Ironing board was broken. Wifi passwords were not easily accessable. No water in the vending machines. Unsatisfied to say the least...

“As advertised.”

The Calremont was exactly as advertised. Good proximity to Disney, just minutes from the gates, and reasonably priced.

“Worst Check in EVER”

Check in at this hotel was the worst I have ever experienced, the reception staff did not even offer a smile or say hello and welcome, they were in fact quite rude. We were first given the wrong room and after moving us the girl in the lobby did not even give us the wifi password, nor did she give us any information on breakfast i.e what time and that we would need a ticket. We asked her what restaurants were available in the area and she pointed to the i-hop next door and said it was open 24hrs, but could not give us any information on anything else in the area, there are in fact lots of places to eat in the area and old town is down the road but she just stared at us like we were annoying her. The hotel itself needs further work done, the 'renovation' was really just a coat of paint and new bedding, the fixtures are old and somewhat broken. The tap in our room had no hot water and the tap on the shower was very loose and did not work properly. We booked the hotel because they advertise free shuttles to theme parks and the shopping areas. The free shuttle is for Disney but you have to pay $14pp for Seaworld and Universal, there is also no shuttle running to shopping areas, this I feel was false advertising. The hotel itself is about a 1 star, add that to the rude team members working there and I would say you could find a better hotel for a similar price in a better location.

For the price and location this was OK. Being an older hotel and under-used it is about as good as it could be.

It needs more repairing in the facilities and more security during the night. We were not advised that the hotel was being remoliding and that was an inconvinience.

We initially made the reservations at the Howard Johnson Maingate East , which a few weeks before we got there had changed and was now the Claremont Kissimmee Hotel. We did not know this, but thankfully there was no problem at all checking in as they honored all reservations made for Hojo. They were busy making changes renovating etc. but we had no problem with noise etc. We had a newly renovated room , although still just a bit outdated it was just fine for the purpose of our stay. We did not pass much time in the hotel as we were out all day going to parks, and at night it was a very comfy night of sleep. Initially we had some issues that some lights were not working, no ice bucket and no cups for water or coffee, also our floors were not really clean. but as soon as I asked they made sure that the next day by the time we came back everything was fixed and clean. Beds are very clean bathroom as well, they replace all linens and towels everyday. My mother also got a newly renovated room that was changed later on as the shower pressure was not right, phone nor tv remote worked and toilet kept running , they fixed some but changed the room anyway to a great room with no problems at all. Our king size room had no closet or drawer space however mom's double did have plenty. Overall service is great and I expect this hotel to become even better once fully renovated. I would stay there again.
