“Good enough for a one or two nights stay”

I booked this hotel for just 1 night, just arriving to Orlando from Miami. I stayed just one night before doing check in @Disney All Star Music Hotel. We were 5 people (2 adults, 3 childrens). We reserved a room with 2 queen size bedrooms. Hotel stay was fine, i didn;t try breakfast at the hotel so i can't tell about it. Service at front desk was ok, a gently guy at my arrival at 02.00am. treat as nice. He gave a room on the 3rd floor, and asked him to change it for a room in the 1st floor. He checked up and change it for us. Room was enough confortable, bathroom was clean, even though furniture was a little bit old. My general review is that this hotel i enough for a 1 or 2 night stay.

“I would visit again.”

My stay at the Baymont Inn and Suites was nice. The staff members were helpful and courteous. While a few things on the outside could have been shined up a bit, when we entered the room it was clean and in good order.

“Fine, clean, safe, affordable hotel”

Baymont is clean, comfortable & right for the price, the water was hot, the kitchenette fine, had to chase down coffee every day but that's no biggie in the grand scheme, it's a little rough in the landscape department but again, for clean, safe & affordable rooms with a good internet signal that was always on, I would stay again in a minute!

“There are better than this”

Very old motel that sits far back off the highway, hard to find. Room was very old with repair marks in room and bathroom. Room was clean but not really clean. Surrounding was not very friendly. Both desk clerks were friendly. Continental breakfast was the usual.

“Good for when you are working nearby”

We were in town for training at a very close industrial park and it was very convenient to that location. The rooms were suitable for work purposes, but I would have been a little less pleased if I was on vacation or with family. The staff was friendly and helpful when there was more soap needed in the room. A very basic continental breakfast was available in a room by the lobby which included waffles that you could make yourself if you were familiar with the equipment or daring enough to try. It was pretty quiet despite its proximity to an airport and a major road. We thought that we may encounter an issue with a nearby neighborhood, but folks pretty much kept to themselves and we had no issues. The beds were soft with not a lot of support, which was the preference of my colleague, but not mine. If you are working or training in the area, it was a pretty convenient and inexpensive place to stay.

Dining
Very friendly Outback Steakhouse down the street.

“Disappointed”

We were looking for a hotel close to Disneyworld and chose this hotel because of reviews on Trip Advisor. Somehow we thought we would be closer to Disneyworld that we actually were. It took about 25 minutes to get to Disneyworld. We were put in a handicapped room where the bathroom was huge - not at all welcoming since we did not request that type of room. When I found hair around the toilet, I asked to be moved to another room. This room was much better; it had two queen-sized beds, but it just didn't seem clean; the carpet was dirty and there were broken tiles in the bathroom. I did like the fact that there was a counter with a sink outside the bathroom - made it easy to blowdry my hair while my husband took his shower. The continental breakfast was basic but fine and everything was clean. We were travelling with another couple who were also put into a handicapped room; they had the same reaction as we did that their room just didn't seem clean. The girl who did our check-in was very nice and helpful when we asked her about restaurants and Disneyworld. The grounds around the hotel did not seem to be maintained regularly. There were weeds pushing up thru the wood chips around the bushes. Too bad, because at night when the lights were on, the outside of the building looked nice.

“Hotel rear”

This hotel sends expedia customers to the rear of the hotel were people that stays there seems to rent there for long terms as they have their own chairs, there was fist fights ever night, the police was called on two diferent ocations, we could not sleep at night, and when we requested the receptionist to move us to another room, in a very harsh way told us that she could not do that, I counted four empty rooms in front of the pool and six on the other side while we where staying there, and were never occupied, not only that, while we were checking out on Sunday three other family came in to another person on the front desk with the same complaint, I love expedia but really hated this hotel, please visit youself, and you will find out, it's not false.

“don't ever stay there again”

The first thing that bothered me was the odor as you entered the room. It smelled worse than a dog pound. I have stayed at hotels that permit pets but never that odorous. There was a wet dirty towel used as a door stop. I would have left as soon as I arrived but it was 5:00 AM. Never will stay there again.

“Get what you pay for...”

Older hotel --an attempt at updating it has been made.Entrance is from the outside; (no inner hallways) plenty of parking, but very little close to the building;and with the exception of one of the managers, had nice people to deal with. Did not state on the info for the hotel that you had to pay for the use of their computer;as I thought I'd have easy access to one, I didn't bring ours.I was given a hard time about using the desk's computer to print out our boarding passes, with the manager constantly reminding me in a very demeaning way that "she didn't have to let me use her computer."Finally gave up after having to lean over the desk in a very awkward position, receiving no help from her. Called Expedia directly, and they helped. Also the "safe" was nothing but a large box on a tiny block of wood which was not attached to the wall correctly. (screwed directly into dry-wall w/o any anchors) When I brought this up to the manager, I received a lecture. The room was clean, but we discovered that rather than replacing towels, sometimes they were just re-folded and put back up-my daughter had wiped up with one of them, and discovered the same towel was still there. I think we were over-charged for what we got, but live and learn I guess; just because there is a name brand attached to something, doesn't mean it's up to those standards you are used to. (one can only imagine what it would've been like W/O this name) Do yourself a favor, and spend a little more-it will be worth it.

Area recommendations
My daughter and I were there for the AAU Volleyball National Championships; so a little of both business and leisure. VERY hard to find hotel; no easily visible signs; drove past it several times even after finding it. It was quite a drive to the 2 facilities they played at; next time I will check this better. The neighborhood did not feel very "safe"; my daughter was frequently worried. (she is 14) I have to admit, some of the other people staying at this hotel, were not exactly reputable looking--but again, you get what you pay for. Lesson learned.
Getting there
We flew into Daytona and drove to Orlando/Kissimmee so we could do some sight seeing along the way; if you can, do this, and it saved us some money.
Getting around
Rent a car, and be patient--the lights are very long, and you generally need to make u-turns.
Must see
Go to Universal to see Harry Potter--it was so worth it! Biggest issue with Universal was no real shade, and very few water fountains. Down Town Disney is awesome--especially if you go at night, and there is no admission fee.
Shopping
There is a ton of places to shop-could have spent most of our week just doing that; unfortunately, not everyone was very friendly.
Dining
Be prepared to spend the $ on food--and if you're from the "north" like us, beware, their "dollar" menus are nothing like what we are used to, and there is a noticeable lack of certain coffee shops we are used to here. The best value for food was at Down Town Disney at Cooke's of Dublin--fish and chips (large portions) for under $11.00--not greasy, very fresh, and very good!
