Quiet hip hotel two blocks from Disney

Posted 19-Apr-2015
Pros: Room looked and felt clean and modern; relatively quiet; reasonably walking distance from Disneyland
Location: Disneyland; Anaheim Garden Walk
It's two blocks and a corner turn from the main gate of the Disney parks, which is a big plus. Room seemed clean. A friend I stayed with who is a bit of a nitpick germaphobe saw a tiny stain on her bed sheet; room service was called and arrived to replace the bed sheets within ten minutes. They have a parking garage that IIRC was included and free. Rooms had Keurigs; mugs didn't look clean though. No major complaints; would stay there again.

Almost there.......

Posted 18-Apr-2015
Excellent location, close to the main gate at Disney, surrounded by restaurants in close proximity to Angels Baseball Stadium and the home of the Amaheim Ducks. The rooms were perfectly adequate, parking was free and the staff very courteous and helpful. On the downside, the bar closed at 10 and lacked any atmosphere, it is almost a token gesture, as is the pool, which is so small it is pointless.

Good hotel close to Disneyland

Posted 12-Apr-2015
Pros: Great location, good internet, comfortable beds
Cons: The price of a class of milk for our child was ridiculous.
Location: Easy walking distance to Disneyland, even with two kids in strollers; Garden Walk is even closer the other way
We stayed here a few years ago when we took our first child to Disneyland. Now we're back with the second. Name change but still a great location with clean, comfortable rooms and a very friendly staff. We arrived late at night and we lucky to get the last parking spot in the garage. Check in and out was quick and easy. Would definitely recommend

Enticing Cold Iced Tea with Bitter Aftertaste...

Posted 01-Apr-2015
Pros: At every touch point during our 4-night stay, every employee was friendly. Our package included breakfast in the small cafe in the hotel lobby. Howe
Cons: Vacation compromised due to rude, loud, obnoxious Spring Break guests. The General Manager (Edward V.) addressed my concerns -- thank you very much!
Location: The Hotel Indigo is located 3 blocks from the Disney Parks. No car is necessary if your primary purpose is to do Disneyland / California Adventure.
I travel a lot, averaging 7-10 trips annually. With that said, I admit that my standards for service and accommodations are high. My go-to hotel brands are Luxury Collection, Starwood, Kimpton, etc. I have Travel Connoisseur status on TripAdvisor and Expedia Gold+ membership. I state this not to brag but to confirm my travel experience/knowledge. When I planned a recent Spring Break trip to Anaheim to haunt the Disney Parks, I sought out accommodations that “on paper” met my standards. I checked the Hotel Indigo’s reviews on both TripAdvisor and Expedia. I felt comfortable with my reservation. The room was not what I expected (and I carefully reviewed the online photos). I travelled with a teenager and wanted a suite with a separate bedroom, for privacy reason. The “family suite” consisted of two queen beds in a narrow room, and a sofa bed by the window. The room was so narrow that we moved the desk chair as it blocked the walkway at the foot of the two queen beds. I will add that the room faced Disneyland and had a view of the nightly fireworks show (we watched on our arrival evening). Unfortunately, the hotel was "sold out" and could not accommodate a room change. The bathroom was ok (small). Nice glass shower with updated vessel faucet, granite/tiled surfaces and Aveda bespoke amenities. Not sure of how thorough it was cleaned as I found several toilet roll tubes under the storage shelf.

Hockey game

Posted 27-Mar-2015
I stayed for only one night to take in a Ducks game. This is a nice little hotel, the room was a good size and clean. Parking is underground and a cinch although be careful and don't go too fast through the small lot. The location is perfect, the arena was just down the road and Disneyland is next door (I watched the nightly fireworks show from my window).

Surprising hotel at an amazing price!

Posted 20-Mar-2015
Pros: Décor, cleanliness, staff, price, walking distance to Disney!
Location: Walk to Disneyland and Anaheim GardenWalk!
This place looked so posh from the outside the last time we were at Disney I never would have thought we could afford it! When I was searching for a clean and comfortable, bargain hotel for our recent trip to Disney and Indigo popped up I was shocked at the price. The traveler's reviews were positive and the photos showcased the fresh décor. The staff checking in were super accommodating! It looked just like the photos and the pool and spa were crystal clear! Everything was new and clean! This place is a gem and I will be back! I can't believe I'm publicly reviewing it... It's one of those places I'd like to keep a secret so they will always have a room for me. But, they earned an awesome review. Every one of the staff treated us as special guests. You can walk to Disneyland from here and it's right next to the restaurants of the GardenWalk!

Nice hotel about 10 to 15 minute walk from east entrance to Disney parks. Many restaurants near by. Would stay again.
