“would atay there again”
A very nice hotel convenient to all major attractions. The free breakfast buffet and managers cocktail hour daily was a pleasant surprize. Service was excellent. I definitely would stay there again if back in Anaheim. I was particularly impressed with the cleanliness of the area in general.
“Too many other good choices”
This hotel was run down, noisy and staff was completetly unengaging and not helpful. When we first arrived...there was no one at the front desk. We got a 2 room king suite...which was right next to one of the elevators. My children thought the hotel was haunted from the moaning sound of the elevator cables that we heard ALL NIGHT LONG. The kids also could have had a midnight snack from the dried macaroni noodles we found all over the carpet....left by previous guests...from God knows how long ago. Complimentary breakfast was nice...very good selection,...made to order omelets and lots of good choices. However, if you decide to eat anytime near 9:30...don't look away or staff will literally lift your plate from under you! They close things down right at 9:30 am ..they will close the doors to the kitchen even if you are approaching for a 2nd/last cup of coffee. The wall paper was bubbling..the veneer on the furniture was old and peeling...There are too many other good choices close by (Hilton, Hyatt, Double Tree, Hamton Inn & Suites..which is in the same parking lot) ...we will never choose Embassy Suites again!
“Excellent Hotel”
We stayed at the Embassy Suites for 7 nights for vacation. We had two adults and two children. The rooms are big and comfortable. The bed is very comfortable. The breakfast is outstanding. Even though it was only about 50 degrees out in the morning, we went for a swim in the heated outdoor pool and spa. We couldn't have stayed in a nicer hotel. You can't beat the price and the quality. We travel often and this is one of the nicest hotels we've stayed at. I would recommend this hotel. If you search on the bedbug registry, you'll see that many hotels in this area have bed bugs, but not one complaint for this hotel. It was VERY clean. Front desk staff, Maids and Omlet makers were very nice. Stay here.
“nice and comfortable”
managers reception and morning breakfast keep bring us back
“Excellent hotel!!! We're definetly returning to Embassy Suites Anaheim South!”
We've stayed at several Disney "Good Neighbor" hotels in Anaheim. We've also traded our time for timeshares in Anaheim. This hotel by far exceeds any other "Good Neighbor" hotel in the area. The hotel has a very family friendly atmoshphere. The rooms are well appointed with separate sleeping rooms from living areas. The only difference from this hotel and timeshares is the fact the hotel room does not have a full kitchen. The room was, however well equipped with a mini fridge, sink, microwave, counter space and base cabinet space. With the complimentary full breakfast who needs to cook in the morning anyway? This breakfast isn't your run of the mill "continental breakfast". We're talking hot meals: eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, pancakes, oatmeal, as well as a selection of toasts, fruits, drinks, cereals just to name a few! One has to remember this area is the tourists mecca and eating out can burn a hole in your wallet real fast! Who can forget the hotel happy hour! My family enjoyed the outdoor swimming pool and I enjoyed the 24 hour gym. Front desk personnell was very welcoming and professional. We purchased our Disney tickets at the hotel! Parking was never an issue in the hotel parking lot even with the hotel at near hotel capacity. The hotel is located a short distance from Disney and a shuttle is ready to hop on just steps away from the hotel entrance! Using Expedia was an easy transaction and our stay at Embassy Suites Anaheim South was a memorable one!
“outdated hotel, very loud and bad location”
The hotel is outdated, old and was showing it's age- I have stayed at Embassy Suites in other states and this hotel is not up to par with the other locations. Also if you are planning on visiting Disneyland, plan on spending 2 hours a day trying to get the shuttle to the park (waiting for the bus can take up to 30 -45 minutes each way if they are on time). We booked two queen size beds and ended up with two double beds- VERY SMALL (for four adults)- one of us ended up on the sofa bed , which was uncomfortable and the other one on the floor. Also there is a lion (robotic) in the lobby- that roars every hour and wakes you up. The housekeeping service is more interested in talking on their cell phones rather than providing service. Also the room keys deactivate if you place them next to a cell phone, another credit card, etc...leaving you stranded out in the hall until you get the key activated again. The final piece of frustration was the amount of kids running all over the hotel. One of the kids disabled the elevator and we were all stuck on one floor waiting to use one elevator- I realize the hotel is a long way from Disneyland but there are so many kids who were out of control and the parents were not interested in dealing with them...if you want to have a relaxing time when resting after being in the park all day- do not stay at this hotel.
“Comfort, Service, Location”
I was delighted with my stay! From my first contact on the phone, inquiring about a Business Center & use of computer/printers, I was treated with utmost respect & courtesy. The setting is beautiful, tranquil, & the room was beautifully appointed. I would look forward to staying here again. Although I live in Orange Co,, I had back-to-back conferences with early mornings & chose to stay @ the hotel rather than drive home. I am more than pleased with my stay & would recommmend it for future conferences or events!
“Noisy but comfortable.”
The hotel staff was friendly and the breakfast which was included in our stay was good. The pool area and the fitness areas were smaller than expected but still useful. Shuttles to Disney and other venues were convenient but at an extra cost and so was the parking. The room we got was average but it suited our needs and the separate sleeping area for the kids was good. We liked the hotel location but it's a long walk to Disney. On the other hand it's close to restaurants like Red Robins, Outback Steak House and our favorite Joe's Crab Shack. Also right across the street is a Tutti Frutti frozen yogurt store and it's fabulous. Especially for a late night snack as you can watch the Disney fire works in front of the store while enjoying a frozen yogurt on a warm night. One issue that we found annoying during our stay is that we found it to be quite noisy. From the water fall to the roaring lion in the middle of the hotel to the elevators, the sounds just seemed to be amplified due to the square shape of the hotel. It was difficult to sleep and we had to use ear plugs as the noise just flowed through the front door. Also free internet would have been a nice touch as many of the other hotels that we have stayed at have this benefit. In my personal opinion, this hotel AT BEST is rated 3 out of 5 but i would still recommend this hotel but it is not for everyone. This was our first stay here and we'll likely try another hotel the next time we're in the area.
“Good enough”
Great attention form front desk and restaurant people
“Just Okay”
The hotel was just okay to me. Average. Nothing spectacular. The rooms were clean, and the service was nice, but I can't say I'd stay there again.
