Close to the Grand Ole opry

Posted 27-Mar-2015
Close to the Grand Ole Opry and the mall. Plenty of restaurants nearby. The room was clean and fairly recently refurbished. If you are looking for a 5 star go elsewhere but for our purpose it was fine.

Very close to opryland

Posted 25-Mar-2015
Pros: Affordable and very nice staff
Cons: It might need to be updated
Location: It's near opryland so if you don't like the extreme rates the Marriott wants to charge for staying at Gaylord, then this is a great hotel.
The hotel was a little rundown and probably needed a renovation but it was convenient and the staff was exceptionally nice so overall it was a nice hotel.

It's a PIT

Posted 25-Mar-2015
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Everything
Location: It was near Opry Land.
The room was too small and smelled like bo. The bed was old, hard, and too small. There were no towels until I called for them. The tv was about 20 yrs. old. The breakfast was terrible. There was no room for our luggage.

Convenient location near Gaylord Opryland

Posted 24-Mar-2015
Pros: Great location, and right near an incredibly good Thai restaurant.
Cons: The wallpaper was peeling loose on one wall
Location: Don't miss The Hermitage and the Pantheon--two sites that don't get much press. We found them more interesting than the music downtown.
We stayed here because we were going to a convention at the Gaylord Opryland Convention Center. It was a pleasant stroll to the convention center from the hotel, and the hotel was very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the room was very clean, comfortable, and pleasantly decorated.

Good stay

Right off of the highway and in the middle of several restaurants and gas stations so everything you need is close. The Opry shopping mall is maybe .5 miles down the street.

Hotel close to shopping and the Opry

Posted 17-Mar-2015
Pros: Close to shopping, some entertainment, and close to some food establishments.
Cons: Just some general maintenance, some painting and maybe invest in some more blankets.
Location: Grand ole Opry, go karts, oprymills mall, opryland hotel, McDonald's, a gas station that sold food items, a movie theater
Overall not a bad experience but upon arrival we were told that we could not check in until 4 (the normal check in is at 3 and we had reserved the room 2 weeks prior to arrival) because the rooms were not cleaned, the bed was hard, and there was 2 lights that didn't work and that was because the outlets didn't work. I had to plug my phone in over by the sink and not close to the bed. I went to the front desk to ask for an additional blanket and they didn't have any.

Graceland Gem

Posted 15-Mar-2015
Pros: Local rib joint has free ride to and from the hotel in a pink caddy!
Hotel is right next to Graceland so you can easily walk and save parking $. Staff sweet and helpful. Called cab for us to Beale St (about $25 with tip). Decor of hotel all Elvis, but he is King! Love the guitar shaped swimming pool! Breakfast same as most hotels of the "free breakfast" type. Had fresh fruit and pre packaged cheese omlets in addition to waffles, pastries, cereal, juice, coffee.

Friendly staff, clean rooms, close to attractions.

Posted 14-Mar-2015
Pros: There was a fridge and microwave, the rooms were clean, staff were friendly and the price was reasonable.
Cons: New carpets in the lobby and redecorating.
Location: Nearby attractions include grand ole opry, opry mall, gaylord convention centre dukes of hazard museum.
Me and my husband stayed here for 10 nights whilst visiting our daughter who is studying in Nashville. We were pleasantly surprised although, the hotel could do with updating, the rooms were clean and the breakfast was acceptable ie toast, muffins, cereal, fruit, porridge, Danish, yogurts, bagels, fruit juices and tea and coffee. The staff were pleasant and we felt safe.

easy access off highway

Posted 13-Mar-2015
Pros: Close to some fun places to visit.
Cons: Upgrade some things
Location: Opryland hotel, Grand Ole opry, mall
I rate this hotel as low to middle. Staff was very friendly and accommodating but facility is old and not in the best shape. Breakfast was high sugar and starch and not very fresh fruit. Facility is undergoing a renovation so this may have affected things a bit. It is very close to Opryland hotel and Grand Ole Opry and mall so that was nice. Room was noisy...frig made noise, traffic noise, heater noise. Vent in bathroom did not work.
