“Historic Lillehammer Stay”
We stayed at this Lillehammer hotel over Christmas 2010. The downstairs was the most impressive because there are many rooms with comfortable chairs and fireplaces to lounge in. The restaurant is very large, with many hidden banquet rooms. It has a family feel to it. We felt very welcome and the dinner banquet was attended by many locals as part of their Jul tradition. The food lay-out was top notch, both hot and cold. There were many fish selections, my preference, as well as many meats. This hotel was active in the 1994 Olympics if not the main homebase for many of the meetings and activities, with pictures from that time. The service was typically professional and efficient Norwegian service. The lobby internet computer was on a coin basis, our only complaint, and our laptop battery was dead. We didn't have a conversion plug and someone kyped the hotel's loaner. Hotel staff let us use the monitor behind the counter. They hotel should provide a free monitor to use in lobby - our only suggestion.

“Nicht zuviel erwarten...”
Ich habe die Bewertungen hier vorher gelesen und war daher vorbereitet. Das Hotel ist insgesamt in einem erschreckenden Zustand, auch wenn die allgemein zugänglichen Räumlichkeiten (Lobby, Speisesaal, Restaurant usw.) renoviert und angenehm hergerichtet sind. Ein großer Pluspunkt ist natürlich das kostenfreie Internet und dass man vom Hotel aus das meiste zu Fuß erledigen kann. Mein Zimmer war sauber und nach Gusto heizbar, der französche Balkon hat mir gut gefallen - der Teppichboden war abgeschabt und der schwere Röhrenfernseher hat den Schreibtisch verzogen, sodass einige Schubladen schwer zu öffnen waren. Die Ausstattung selbst entspricht den Erwartungen, das Frühstück vom Umfang und der Qualität her ebenfalls, es wirkt aber beides vernachlässigt und lieblos hergerichtet. Die Einlagerung meiner Sachen nach dem Auschecken hat funktioniert, allerdings scheint der Lagerraum prinzipiell nicht abgeschlossen und die Gepäckstücke werden auch nicht nummeriert. Prinzipiell ist also alles da und funktioniert, nur die dargereichte "Form" entspricht nicht dem Standard, den man von einem Radisson erwarten würde. Bitte auch beachten, dass die Sportsbar nicht alle Sportsender zu bieten hat, die man erwarten würde (z.B. TV2 Sporten Norge nicht).
