We had an excellent stay at this hotel. The staff speaks good English, it is located in a convenient location to Gare du Nord in addition to other attractions, and it is very clean. The rooms aren't large, but we weren't there to stay in the hotel. I highly recommend this hotel.
I have been assigned to a room on the entrance floor at my check-in at about 3:00 which is an hour after it starts. I walked into the room, the curtains were closed, the TV was on and the bed wasn't made. Thought I walked into a room that was already occupied and left right away. I went back to the reception and asked if there had been a mistake and the staff at the reception thought he should check the room. Once he checked, he told me that he is sorry that the room hasn't been cleaned and that I have to wait until they do. I declined this offer explaining it's after 2:00pm and that I have only two nights to stay in Paris and that also I need to change my clothes before I head out. And after this, he talked with some supervisor and assigned me to another room on the third floor.
Room was well-worth the money with Nespresso machines. Everything is nicely thought and looked neat. I have really enjoyed the rooms, but the way their first impression was a NAAAY! My check-out was quite pleasing, and everyone but the one staff who greeted me the first day was also nice.
Internet was really fast, and they helped me and arranged a cab for my trip to CDG!

Furnished in an original and luxurious décor, and superbly located in the heart of Paris, 9 Hotel offers a high quality …More
we had to change rooms on evening one as the one we were allocated was the size of a shoe box and that is NOT what I paid for. Second room was fine clean etc. A bit dissapointed that it was not in a better area - very scruffy andthe taxi driver put us down in the Rue Monmartre and left us to find our own way to hotel!!!!!
Staff at breakfast were lovely BUT on day 4 we went down to breakfast as normal abot 8.45 and NOTHING left - they cannot ask people to pay for breakfast and not provide anything. Rolls gone pastries gone croissants gone etc etc.
I did see reception and about 30 minutes later they came to each table with a bit of bread and two croissants - not good enough.
We arrived very early, hours before our room would be ready. The desk clerk checked us in and immediately offered to hold our baggage until it could be moved to the room.
The hotel is in reasonable walking distance to a lot of attractions- the Louvre, the Opera Garnier, some of the smaller museums. We walked to the Picasso museum, but many people wouldn't consider that an easy walk.
There were many cafes, rotisseries and shops in the area as well. This hotel is less than two blocks from the nearest metro stop.
The staff was helpful and friendly, and all spoke English reasonably well. The room had a mini bar/refrigerator that we were able to use to chill a bottle of champagne. Prices of the mini-bar items was reasonable.
The bed was comfortable and complementary items included a sewing kit and shoe mitt (helpful because a lot of places in Paris are very dusty!) in addition to body wash/shampoo and hand soap.
We enjoyed our stay.
"View Sacre Coeur from room & panoramic roof deck"
Staff were polite, courteous, helpful and informative. Location is central in Montmartre near Sacre Coeur and transit. Despite location on busy street room was quiet and provided a peaceful sanctuary from the bustle and noise of Paris.

The hotel was nice and fairly modern in a very convenient location, just a few metro stops from the city centre. Our double room was compact, but modern and very clean. We weren't planning on spending a lot of time in the room anyway, so weren't bothered by the size. Staff was very helpful and all spoke English well. We didn't ask them for much in the way of recommendations, but they seemed more than willing to help if needed.
The area is slightly on the seedy side (lots of sex shops and whatnot), but didn't feel dangerous or anything. Just a few blocks farther up the hill is quite a nice neighborhood with lots of cute shops and places to eat. I would recommend skipping the hotel breakfast and venturing out to one of many nearby bakeries for delightful (and inexpensive) croissants, quiches, sandwiches, etc.
