The hotel is situated on a main street just up from the water and is close to shopping, restaurants, and the very long seaside promenade. Our room had a pretty view of the bay and was light and airy. Breakfast on the terrace was very good and the person waiting on us was one of the few during our two weeks travelling, that smiled and welcomed us to a buffet. Coffee was brought quickly and the ambiance sitting outside was great. When we checked in the elevator was not working but the front desk clerk quickly came down to get our bags and help direct us to a parking spot. Great service. When we checked out, I purchased a couple of items from the small glass showcase and the woman on the front desk kindly wrapped them in bubble wrap for me. Opatija is a very beautiful place and given a chance to return, we would love to stay at this hotel again. We ate in a restaurant called Razmarin Restaurant which was just around the corner. It came up as a recommended hotel on TripAdvisor and we throughly enjoyed it. After dinner we took a stroll looking at some of the grand old buildings that were lit up at night, grabbed a gelato and called it a night.

The first thing about the hotel is the view that you get from the window, well worth the price alone. The hotel is located a 5 minute walk from the centre of Opatija, and is best done along the coast path. The staff were great and the food was fantastic, just don't go if your on a diet :). We travelled at the end of September and the weather was amazing and the summer crowds had gone making Opatija nice and quiet and enjoyable. I would recommend the hotel in a second and would book it if I returned

We had booked a deluxe room, because it was bigger and from the photo, had a balcony overlooking the sea. In fact it had no balcony and overlooked the car park. Reception staff were understanding and we negotiated a suite, at extra cost, but we were happy to pay the extra. The hotel is well placed overlooking public gardens and very close to the beach, restaurants, cafes and shops. There was a good choice at breakfast with cheerful staff. The evening buffet was good, although we only ate in once. Staff were helpful in general. Our only problem was the open air theatre which on two occasions staged live discos, which were very loud and permeated through our double doors till 2am. The hotel was full so we were not able to move to a different room. Not really the hotel's fault but it did affect our overall enjoyment.

On the riviera strip of Opatija This hotel is well located, the rooms are a good size, the bathroom was a bit small. Our room overlooked the sea with a lovely breeze. The aircon was very noisy so having the window open was good. Great cafes and good for walking. No parking available but a garage nearby for 100 kuna a day with multiple exits/entries was easy. Very good price on Expedia for room. Pillows were lumpy and I asked for comfort pillows but staff didn't know about that option even though card in room.

Rooms are clean but tired. We had a double in the newer part facing the sea. It was a great view, but rooms are quite small and not modernly functional, ie no room for two suitcases and being able to get around the room! The shower was pretty ordinary, there is a curtin but the floor gets wet. The shower rosette was awful and the toilet seat was broken. The breakfasts were great and the location was good, not in the centre but a walkable distance. I know this sounds negative, but all in all it was reasonable for the price.
This hotel is superb; staff, facilities and location. Wow, that is all I can say about our experience. The hotel is Pet friendly and the community around it is as well. Top of the line Hotel, guaranteed.
