“would stay again”
Very clean and comfortable. Staff very nice.
“Room for improvement”
The hotel itself was not bad. Having a Denny's connected to it is connvenient. BUT having a bar connected to the hotel is not good. Someone spilled beer in the elevator, left beer cans in the hallways. The noise from the bar could not be heard on the third floor where I stayed, but the people from the bar coming to their rooms were. The employees were friendly and helpful and the room was clean, bed was comfortable.
“Colorscape Festival”
They have been sprucing up it appears. I used to say it was "run down", but this year I saw improved conditions. They seem eager to please and the location is ideal for me.
“Stay Away”
This was the first time that i had to make my own bed in a hotel! The room was not supposed to be given to us, but we did not know that right away. When we got to the room, the sheets were in a pile on the bed, no blanket, no shower curtain. . No apologies from the manager. When the maid came up, she told us not to eat in the restaurant downstairs (Denny's.) I can only imagine what was crawling around there. Nothing around town either, a Dunkin Donuts about half a mile away. Very depressed area. Go to Cooperstown or Oneonta instead. You get what you pay for.
“Cheap place to stay, don't expect much more..”
There is a Denny's downstairs which makes for convenience but this is the only restaurant in town open in the evening / late at night. So you can imagine it's crawling with drunk people after hours on the weekend. It is what it is, a cheap place to stay. Some of the fixtures in the bathroom could stand to be replaced, but it was clean for what it was. The first floor smelled of smoke as well as the floor we stayed. There was a marijuana odor at some point on our floor. The place was quiet I will give it that..
“Awesome hotel!”
I have no doubt that the Howard Johnson is the best hotel to stay in Norwich :)
“Surprised and pleased”
This hotel was right on my way traveling north. After reading reviews posted, I was very reluctant to stay there but figured I would take a chance. I was more than pleased! People were very friendly and accomodations were more than satisfactory. I will make a point to go there again.
“Will stay again”
Hotel was clean and the location suited us. Will stay there again when in that area. If you are looking for luxury this is not it, but you also do not pay a fortune. Our room was very clean, beds were comfy and the staff pleasant.
“will not go back”
This hotel doesn't service your room daily if you don't pay full price. Our room only got serviced once in five days. their excuse was that we purchased the room at a discounted price so we wouldn't get full service. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone. unhappy customer,
