Verblasster Glanz über den Dächern Roms...

Angefangen vom Geruch frischer Farbe und Lösungsmitteln am Anreistag im Hotelzimmer (sicherlich dem Umstand der derzeit laufenden Restaurationsarbeiten geschuldet, vom Rezeptionisten mit dem Hinweis versehen man solle doch wenn es arg störe einfach ein Fenster öffnen) über den unzuverlässig fahrenden Shuttelbus, die horrenden Minibarpreise (8 EUR für 0,25 L Mineralwasser), die mit 20 EUR zu Buche schlagende SPA-Nutzung, fehlendes WiFi auf dem Zimmer (es sei denn gegen Gebühr von 25 EUR pro Tag - kann das Standard eines 5-Sterne Hotels im 21. Jahrhundert sein?), kaputte Steckdosen im Zimmer, stillose Reaktion auf vorgebrachte Kritik und und und... Man hatte in diesem Hotel nie das Gefühl ein ernst genommener und willkommener Gast zu sein. Dagegen steht eigentlich nur der große Name des Hotels. Bitte lassen Sie sich davon nicht blenden, sein Glanz ist arg verblasst.

Beautiful hotel, staff were absolutely wonderful. The breakfast was amazing! The only small downside was there were a few shabby bits in the room but I could see that they were in the process of refurbishing. Overall excellent hotel, can't wait to return.

Excellent hotel well placed in the city

Pros: The shuttle bus into Piazza Barberini is particularly useful
Cons: Very little
Location: Good location and things to do in Rome are endless. Needs at least 3 days to do it justice
Very good facilities and high quality food. Convenient for Vatican City

luxury hotel ideal for visiting rome

Pros: pretty much everything,especially free shuttle service into Rome
Cons: need to make it clear on website that you have to pay to use the indoor pool
Location: on top of tallest hill in Rome so fantastic view of Rome, and Rome offers so much to see and do
lovely hotel,friendly staff,very clean and has free shuttle bus hrly into Rome and back through the day, rooms very high standard and breakfasts excellent, have to pay to use indoor pool though

Really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The staff couldn't do enough for us and the facilities were great. Only disappointment was the lack of choice on the TV for English speakers with the only channels being news. There was also a very poor choice of movies and for the price they charge to watch one (near on €20) you would expect something a little newer than Bridget Jones diary. I would 100% recommend this hotel to somebody who is looking for a relaxing spa weekend but may advise against if you want to go sight seeing as it was quite far from the city centre and there is no metro nearby. There is however a free shuttle bus that runs every hour but our tour times never enabled us to use it. The bus also stops at half 8 so if you wanted to go into the city for a meal you have to get a taxi.

bad experience

Pros: food was great
Location: its far from the center
though the hotel is a luxury hotel but they checked me in the 6th floor where there were construction works in other rooms on the same floor. when I complained about the noise and construction workers around in the same floor they said that the room rate I booked with is for this floor only and if I want to move to another room I must pay 80 euros per night??? I think they gave this special price to Expedia only to occupy the rooms in the "under renovation floors"

Lovely staff, but stupid charges for amenities

Pros: Nice staff, lovely shuttle bus driver
Cons: Stop adding charges to the bill for amenities which other hotels provide for free.
Daily charge for wifi in the room, daily charge to use the pool. The staff were lovely but petty charging for extras meant I wont return here. I was already paying ( a huge amount) for 5 star service, this was just mean and I won't be going back.

Delightful museum piece

We loved this quaint hotel. Delightful receptionists, fabulous breakfasts. However. We were unable to reserve at its 9th floor restaurant during our stay ; our bathrooms werent perfectly clean & functional -and- the massive mobile phone tower really affects the propertys' elegance.
