This hotel is located within a few minutes walking distance to the French Quarter, perhaps a five minute walk at best. The St. Charles trolley runs right in front of it, this trolley is what takes you into the Garden District/Magazine area. I cannot express how professional the staff was, friendly...helpful and just pleasant to be around. The lobby is beautiful and my room is by far one of the cleanest, nicest rooms I've ever stayed in. I even had a walk in modern shower that made me feel like I was in a fancy resort. Room for everything, plenty of lighting and outlets. Bed was newer and very plush and comfortable. Even the room service gets five stars! The concierge helped me book several tours, he was great! I liked that it was not near the chaos of Bourbon street, I slept peacefully every night with little to no noise issues. This is place is just a rare gem, will stay here every time I visit New Orleans.
I did not want to be in French quarter so was very pleased to find this last minute. Walking distance to WW11 museum which was fantastic. The hotel restaurant was hard to get into last minute so I ate late. Food was great. Service a bit lacking as it took forever to get my drink. Hotel room beautiful and looked new. Everyone very friendly and helpful
My wife and I stayed 3 nights and enjoyed our stay. If you're looking for a hotel like a Hilton, Hyatt, or Marriott this is not it. We try to avoid those types if we can because they all seem alike and have no personality. We try to stay at B & B's and the Q & C is as close as a hotel can come. It has a rustic feel with exposed bricks on the walls. The rooms are different sizes and shapes. The bathrooms reminded us of the ones we had in France last year. The Q & C has a feel when you enter it of walking into a small hotel in England with a bar close to the check-in desk. It's very popular for the after work crowd. The rooms have some nice touches like a mirror in the bathroom that tilts, 32" flat screen TVs, extravagant linens according to my wife. These comments need to tempered by the fact the hotel has just gone through a complete renovation and there are things that they are catching up with that need to be fixed. We had to change rooms because the AC wasn't working right. We happened to talk to a maintenance man who explained that some of the valves had not been turned on before the ceiling was restored. There were little things like a screw missing in a vent in the ceiling and a light bulb that needed replacing. We had a chance to talk to the owner one night while sitting around the bar and he told us they have been working to get everything in order. We're in our 60's so we tend to cut a little slack but we like the place and will stay again.
