"Nice hotel close to town and good price"
Hotel is nice and the price was very good. My booking was for early Febuary, 2014. At the time of booking in mid January, Expedia quoted 50% discount and the price was one of the lowest on Expedia site. The standard room is rather small though this small size is common for a standard room in Japan. At check in, we got an upgrade to a much larger room for approximately 20 CDN only per night which is very worth it. My husband and I enjoyed the stay at this hotel.

"Nice hotel right on the beach, good"
The hotel was a lot nicer than I read from the reviews. The building and resort is 20 years old or so, so it's not some brand new building where everything is in perfect condition. Being right on the beach was very nice. We easy could go swimming in the ocean and if you want you can walk a long the beach a ways away from the resort where it's nice and quite! I went with a native Japanese friend, so it was easy to do things. I would say it's pretty difficult if people don't know how to speak any Japanese because the staff don't speak very well English. There are foreigners that work there that are not Japanese who can speak English though. Getting there is a pain. You can take the bus, but you have to make sure you catch it at the right time. Once you're there, there isn't much around the place, so you kind of have to stay on the resort. I would recommend getting the breakfast included with the room. The Japanese breakfast wasn't so good, and I'm not saying that because I'm a foreigner, but even my Japanese friend said he didn't like it. Go with the "Western" choice, which still has Japanese food in the morning. Finally, try the "onsen" or spa! It's nice because it's so Japanese where you have to take your clothes off and relax in the spa. It was one of my favorite parts. Most importantly, try to have fun!

"Nice hotel but noisy"
Well located hotel with quite noisy and small room, especially if you get a room facing the street with many night clubs. Anyway, all disadventages are compensated by the low price.

"It was a pleasant stay."
I got lucky as there was a nice lady in the back-office who spoke some English. I was so happy, I gifted her with a small package of really nice Tea from Taiwan. I managed with the two-tea-bags in the room but will take my own coffee when I re-visit Japan. I always felt safe in the neighborhood. While the bathroom was a "leetle" cramped, it made up for it with a deep, soaking bath tub and the best Hotel HOT Water Soak & Shower I've enjoyed in a very long time. The bedding was clean and comfortable. Couldn't figure out just how to work the radio, but fortunately had a good book with me. THE BEST PART WAS THE PRICE WHICH DID NOT KEEP ME AWAKE ALL NIGHT. All in all, it was a very pleasant night. I might go back in June, and certainly would ask for the same room. It was good value for the price. When I wanted to leave earlier than the breakfast times, they gladly refunded my pre-paid charge for breakfast and my taxi was waiting to take me to airport. No complaints. john
