“Worked out well”
We booked into this hotel as a late option on a busy weekend. We had 3 adults and 2 kids and we fitted into the room well. I was pleased with everything about the Hotel apart from the air con as it was very noisy. It is fine for a short stay.

Hotel was OK you have to park behind the hotel and have a very long hike to your room. Room was OK nothing special.
“Nice hotel in Penticton”
My son and I motorcycled to Penticton to visit with friends and family. The Sandman was in a convenient location but was a bit awkward to get to (it's just off the main road and if you miss the turn then getting back is frustrating). There's a restaurant attached and a nice lobby. We walked about 8 blocks to a restaurant near the casino and met some family members there. We enjoyed a late evening and slept in the next morning. I've heard from others that they also enjoyed staying there. Next time I'll bring a bathing suit and use the pool.
“Average”
Staff was very friendly and the hotel was clean, however it’s outdated and needs reno soon. In the morning we were woken up by the sound of other guest’s bathroom noises and there was a little bit of bathroom odour in the room as well. Room was not very specious either, but all together not bad.
“First Choice in Penticton and surrounding areas”
Great friendly staff, always our first choice in Penticton. Always clean! Pool is great! Good location. Not quite sound proof though, room doors seem to always slam shut real loudly.
“Convenient Location”
The Sandman is an older hotel, but it has had several updates and is very clean. We found our rooms comfortable and well maintained. There is a great lounge in the hotel and Dennys is attached to the facility. The staff was courteous, friendly and very helpful. We found the service in the lounge and Dennys very good - the servers were prompt and friendly.The Sandman is conveniently located close to the rink and the Convention Centre. An ideal place to stay.
“Crappiest hotel ever”
In the description states that the sandman is kid friendly...... More like senior friendly! Staff is rude and not accomodating, worst hotel experience ever!
“In need for new Carpets”
this hotel is in need for upgrade!!!!!! the loby is in good apperance, but the hallway carpets and suites are in desperate cleaning or replacement
“Average”
Good but not great hotel. Our air conditioning unit was leaking the first day. We switched rooms and we did enjoy the pool area. Pleased that they accepted pets.
“It was ok”
We chose this hotel as it is next door to Denney's for a quick breakfast & near the lake. It wasn't super and it wasn't bad. Might stay there again if the need arises.
