“Beautiful Lakeside Resort”
I visited Casa Loma Resort at the end of April with my boyfriend. It was absolutely perfect because not only did we get off-season rates, but the weather was also very agreeable. What a comfortable hotel! It's definitely a home away from home. Living room with sliding patio doors, fully-equipped kitchen and dining table, bedroom also with sliding patio doors, huge walk-in closet and huge bathroom. It is on the Westbank but it's right near the bridge which means it is only a few minutes to downtown by car. Admittedly, some of the furnishings are dated, but I think that actually contributed to the homey feel - as opposed to a sterile hotel room. The outside of the building has recently been renovated and it's stunning. In the off-season, there are fewer staff members around to keep rates low, but the manager had made arrangements for our late check-in. This never posed a problem in the least, we didn't need to contact the desk because everything was so great. The pool was having work done to it while we were there so that will likely be lovely when it's done. It's right on the shore overlooking the lake. We visited downtown, walked on the trails in the regional park right next to the resort, and stayed in one night to watch hockey. The room also had a Murphy bed in the living room for extra guests or kids. I expect this would be a very family-friendly resort. All in all I love Kelowna and I really enjoyed this resort. Wonderful place to stay especially in the off-season.
