"Convenient and pleasant hotel near the town centre"
We have stayed in this hotel a few times and have always liked it as a convenient stopping off point. This time we were travelling with a grandchild and visiting locally for two days so we booked a suite. It was amazing - very spacious, split level with a spiral staircase to the upper level, full double bed upstairs and generous twins to use as one on the lower level, sitting area with sofa and armchairs, a desk area and lovely views out over the river. Bathroom was rather cramped but it was difficult to see how they could have fitted a bigger one in. Would have liked better towel rails, perhaps in the room. Wifi worked a treat, which does not always happen. Breakfast was good, though not the best coffee ever, better to ask for espresso from the bar which they willingly provided. Staff invariably friendly and helpful.
We love Compiegne so we will be back.

The room was totally refurbished - according to the hotel staff, all rooms are now renovated. The room had a king sized bed, a desk and two chairs and was very spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was like brand new, was very well lighted and had a good shower.
The hotel is an easy walk from the train station; it was a quick trip up from Paris. The village is small and charming - we walked everywhere the entire week.
