“Would go back again”

We stayed at this hotel Dec 3, 2011. we found it clean and comfortable, the room was a bit on the small size(hence, microtel) but the room was comfortable. It actually had color on the walls, one was a pretty green and the other three were yellow. So nice to see color instead of beige or white! The continental breakfast was good, plenty to choose from.... saved us at least $20.00. We would definately go back again.

Area recommendations
Depends on the time of year, the beaches in the summer, shopping in the fall and winter. The Kittery Outlets are OK, but we like to shop in Portsmouth.
Shopping
There are good places to shop around York, there are a couple of thrift shops that are really good, especially if you are looking for used books. The outlets are OK if there are sales, otherwise we head to Portsmouth, no taxes on anything! Maine taxes clothes...
Outdoors or beach
Long Sands beach is a beautiful beach! I have been vacationing in York for over 50 years and never tire of the beach or looking at Nubble Lighthouse.

“First Trip to Maine”

Staff was very friendly, We were close to all shopping outlets. The room was clean. The waffles were the best. We didn't use the pool put it did look very clean. Quite area and plenty of places to eat as long as you didn't wait to late in the evening.

“Clean, comfortable and great breakfast”

Clean, comfortable, up-to-date Microtel with a very nice breakfast that included those lovely waffles. Queen-sized beds helped make this our choice for our one night layover.

“10 minutes to York Beach”

Hotel was a good value. Extensive free breakfast. Desk clerk was very helpful with dinner informtion and driving directions. Ony problem was our room had no towels. The hotel does rent their pool ou for parties. There were a lot of 9-11 year olds runningarounf late in the afternoon. All were gone by evening.

“Two-star hotel with four-star quality!”

Very easy to find, very clean, newly built or renovated building. The room is very spacious, has a flat screen TV, microwave, fridge, coffee maker and small sink with breakfast counter with stone countertops and stools. (great design!) Very clean room, good AC. The free WiFi works perfectly. We only stayed for one night, would've been great to stay for several nights. it is located off major road, a few minutes to Kittery mall, and to the beautiful beaches. The people at the desk were friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this hotel.

“Winter End”

“clean hotel but pool is over crowded”

I enjoyed my visit. The rooms were a little small for 4 people but were ok. The free breakfast was good. The area is right off of a main road and not close to the beach but was what I had expected. The only disappointment was the pool area.The pool area did not have enough seats. They also let the public in to use the pool for a fee and swim classes were being conducted on friday afternoon. SAturday evening the pool was so crowded you could not swim in it but just could stand in it. It was a holiday/school vacation week and if the hotel was full, the pool should not have been open to the public.
