“Small town hospitality”

Unfortunately, the hot tub was under repairs, but the hotel itself was clean and convenient. We spent our time hiking Starved Rock, so all we needed was a bed, and this served the purpose. Staff was VERY accomodating and this was a quick drive to the park. When in Oglesby, stop at MJ's Grill & Pub for a burger & beer. AWESOME! Not fancy, but servicable and pleasant. No complaints from us!

“You get what you pay for.”

The hotel was ok. Definitely clean, but the rooms are quite small, and our room smelled like smoke even though it was a non smoking room. The pool in right by the entrance, so it made it awkward for us to swim since everyone could see us right when they walked in. Also, the hot tub was broken, which was a disappointment. However. the area around was really nice, and we weren't to far from starved rock which was where we were going. If we were to go back, I might just spend the extra money to stay somewhere else, but in the same town.

“Starved Rock hotel”

Upgraded Days Inn with a very nice breakfast. Some of the front desk staff are very knowledgeable about Starved Rock park.

“Perfect room for a perfect weekend.”

Looking for a nice simple stay to enjoy to Starved Rock State Park. Great staff, wish we had remembered our swimsuits as the pool was very inviting. Room was nice sized & a very comfortable bed. The free wi-fi was very appreciated for both our laptop & smartphones. My wife was particularly thrilled with the free "hot" continental breakfast. We will definitely return to this Days Inn again.

“gross”

This hotel is older, has good customer service but gets poor marks for the odor, the bedding and the maid service. We will not return and do not recommend this hotel.

“Good place to stay near Starved Rock”

My Husband and I stayed here overnight on a recent trip to Starved Rock. We saved 30% compared to a room at the Lodge, and was it was roomier. The hotel location is convenient and there is a good family style restaurant in addition to many fast food options adjacent to the property. I would definitely stay there again.

Area recommendations
We had Dinner at Duffy's pub in downtown Oglesby and breakfast at Delaney's located next to the hotel.
Must see
Waterfalls at Starved Rock State Park.

“Would stay there again”

It was a very nice motel. I do have to agree with another reviewer that bathroom space was small, but that would not keep me from going back again.

“TINY BATHROOMS”

THE HOTEL HAS BEEN REDONE AND WAS CLEAN, BUT TE BATHROOMS WERE VERY TINY, THE BATHROOM DOWN THE HALL BY THE POOL WAS MUCH BETTER

Have stayed here several times. Always satisfied. Pricier than others in area but cleaner and well maintained.
