Great Location

Overall stay was very good. We arrived late on the check-in evening and had to ring bell at the main entrance. Main entrance closes at 10PM so remember to ring the bell and if possible let them know in advance. Scenery is beautiful and surrounding towns / villages pleasant. Room was not luxurious but clean and comfortable. Bathrooms appear to be recently renovated.

Quaint and Quiet

Posted 24-Sep-2011
Very nice and comfy hotel not at all like other European hotels with its very large rooms and country style decorations. Nestled in a forest where you can take long walks and enjoy the quiet. Not for the "party" crowd...if you like bars and cities this is it for you, but if you're looking for quiet and relaxing, this will be it. Didn't check it out, but they also had golf weekends with a nearby golf course.

The hotel is in a lovely setting by a lake and was not difficult to find using sat nav. Very restful, food was good. My husband had trout which came straight out of the hotel pond and was cooked instantly - you can't get fresher than that! On the down side the bed was very hard - pine with slatted matress and the matress seemed to be covered only with a matress protector -a towelling stretchy sheet which was very uncomfortable to sleep on, The bathroom was the smallest we had ever encountered, anyone taller or wider than average would have problems using it. I was given a wifi code but couldn't get it to work on my laptop.
