“Missing the little things that makes it better”
There were just the little things that were missing that would of made a much better visit, like letting it be known that the hotel was under construction, the not so pleasant look of the too small bath tub which really looked grimmy in it's apperence, old furniture in the living room and those weird sound coming from inside the walls and the noisy heating system, "you couldn't hear yourself think." To be honest if my date hadn't been so kind, saying let's just make the best of it, I would have cancelled my stay. Being geated by a unprfessional desk staff, whom lacked customer service skills, was a BIG turn off. We just made do after a long trip to get there.
“Extremely pleased!”
Our stay at the Princess Royale was first-rate! I really couldn't find anything wrong with our room or the service we received! We will be back!
“Grandmom”
My kids and grand kids spent a couple days with me at the hotel which I find to be kids friendly. The service was good, was not impressed with the hotel buffet otherwise I would say it wasy a pleasant experience.
“Great Place to stay”

“Bed Bugs or Dirty Sheets?”
We've stayed at this hotel with our young children numerous times and have always had great experiences. The rooms are clean, the service (check in and check out are quick) is good and the location is awesome. This time however, we noticed small spots of blood on the bottom sheet of the bed we all slept in when we woke up in the morning (it was a king size bed, although we had booked the room for two queens since we were two adults and two kids. That request was not honored for the first time, and all four of us had to sleep in one bed). I searched the mattress and surrounding walls for other signs of bed bugs and did not see any. However, small specks of blood on your sheets is the tell tale sign of bed bugs. At check out, I alerted the front desk person to this issue. I said that I was not asking for anything, and that I just wanted to make them aware of the situation. The clerk was rather rude and told me that if it were bed bugs that we'd have marks on our bodies and "we'd know it". I told her that was not necessarily true, since I know a lot about bed bugs, and again, reminded her that we were not asking for any "freebies" but wanted them to be aware of the situation. She assured me there were not bed bugs, to which I responded that we had then slept on soiled, bloody sheets from someone else then. Either situation is unacceptable. She didn't apologize and said good bye to me.
“ok”
air cond was off upon arrival and when turned on it did not work well. great location.
“It was awesome!”
This hotel was awesome. We were right by the ocean and the room was very clean and spacious. Our room consisted of 2 queen size beds, a refrigerator, stove, small table as well as an area off from the bedroom that was like a livingroom. It was the perfect set up for our family. It was nascar weekend and we couldn't find a place in Dover so we thought we'd give this place a try. We had alot of fun staying in the Ocean City area. We liked this place so much that we are planning a week in Ocean City next summer and planning on booking at the same place....it was awesome.
“Princess Royale 2011”
Large hotel with kitchenettes - right on the Atlantic... The whole exterior wall is glass which is nice during the day, and even though we were on the north side (no direct sun) it was still nice and bright. At night you can pull the curtains. The beds are the "Memory foam" type mattresses which seemed a bit harder than I usually like, but were OK. Has a large indoor pool - water looked kind of cloudy while we were there over Labor Day weekend. We didn't use the indoor pool because of that, but spent all of our time on the beach anyway. The beach gets a bit narrow and overly crowded during high tide. It would be nice if there were more restaurants within a few blocks of the hotel. If you want to cook in your room there is two good grocery stores two blocks north. Driving up or down the Intercostal Hwy and finding parking is always tricky. The hotel has a large parking garage on it's property, which made parking easy. We stayed two nights; it would have been too expensive for a longer stay. We will return if the price is right because the weather and the beach were great.
“We had a nice stay!”
Our bigest complaint was a very slow single elevator, had to many of the cleaning staff and carts using it when trying to check out made check out very long process and long elevator wait times, did not like the restaurant our service was so slow we cancled our drink order and went out side the hotel to a nother rastaurant. Thhe hotel was nice and rooms wer nice and the location was on the beach cant go wrong there.
