Oberhausen, Essen Hotels

A city which prospered during Essen's industrial rise, Oberhausen is currently trying to revive cultural attractions and shopping opportunities in its chessboard-shaped old town. The Gasometer tower is now used for exhibitions, the huge CentrO mall stands on the site of a former steel works, and a former zinc metallurgy company is now the Industrial Museum. The Oberhausen Castle holds rotating exhibitions in the Ludwig Galerie.
