The hotel did not honor my reservation, I spent an hour on the phone with Expedia. Expedia thankfully found another hotel nearby, but I missed time at the dance conference where I paid additional for classes. After traveling from another country to Mexico, waiting through customs for the rental car and driving 40 minutes to hotel it was overall a bad experience I’ve never had before with a confirmed reservation.

I enjoyed the hotel for the 10 days that my family and I stayed there. They had more than enough staff for help and they always provided good service at the pool. The rooms are comfortable but a little outdated. This is a perfect hotel if you are in a budget and you want to experience with the locals. They also have a shuttle that runs from 12 pm until 9 pm which is a plus. The food could be improved a little and dishes are a little pricey. Overall, I do recommend the hotel.

This property’s food was delish. It was in a safe, quiet area, far enough yet close to the city. Founds some unique restaurants, pharmacy and massage 💆 laces near by. The big down side was the pool was under construction and there were bugs (gecko, maybe a roach) and mold in bathroom. Sadly

First few day was good but then they held a 3 day dance event and its was parting every night till 2 or 3 in the morning no staff will say anything to the party for the loudness and cause of so many people they closed the pool for 4 days. Never again will we be staying there

Positives: hotel restaurant was good, shuttle service into the city, cleaning lady was nice, quiet area, Filamone (hotel porter) was always attentive and willing to help. Reasonably priced hotel. Negatives: 15 to 20 minutes from the city center depending on the traffic.

The hotel rooms have not been updated in a long time. For example the rug felt dirty. The bed's pillows felt old. The restaurant's food was very mediocre. However the hotel service was very nice and courteous.

This is a great place to stay if you have a car and don’t mind staying a few minutes’ drive outside of the historic center of the city. Most hotels don’t have secure parking (parking on the street overnight is not a safe endeavor most places in Mexico), but this one does. The rooms are a little old and could use some work. They do each have their own small balcony. The hotel grounds are great—big green areas, a nice pool, and outdoor terraces perfect for COVID social distancing. They offer complimentary cafe de olla and agua de fruta in the lobby.

Great stay but squiprely billing.
The only problem was the criteria for choosing them was were they pet friendly. Somehow they charged more for pet friendly they advertised it. I thought the price included our pet. It was awkward.

Nice Spacious Hotel
The hotel was very nice and had all the services one would need. It also had a beautiful pool. They had a free shuttle that you could take to the downtown area.

Good stay
Nice hotel and wasn't noisy at night so that was a positive. There wasn't any supermarkets etc close by and no refrigerator. The shuttle was convenient but takes 25 minutes to town. First shuttle at 12pm and last shuttle to leave town at 9.25pm, with shuttles in between every hour except a few. Overall a good stay but is a little while from the hustle and bustle near Zocolo.

Nice hotel in quiet safe area
Winderful staff. Love the private small balconies. Great room service and good food. Overall very good compared to others. as I have stayed at other hotel near this area. Only negatives were no refrigerators nor Ice machines to keep drinks cold! Compleantery water daily as that's needed. You cannot brush your teeth with that water. I will continue my stays at this place in the future!

A hidden gem 15 minutes from the centro
The Mision Oaxaca is a real bargain! Clean and comfortable, it feels like a much more expensive place, and the courtesy and treatment is 5 star. Staff are all very friendly (although English is limited). The room we stayed in had a lovely view of the mountains towards downtown Oaxaca. The breakfast buffet is good (though more vegetarian options would be nice), and the pool is lovely. The only downside is the pool (which is supposed to be heated) was very cold except for one day. They turned the heater on, but I think their water thermometer is broken. Hopefully that will be fixed soon. Highly recommended for a calm and peaceful stay just a 10-15 minute cab ride outside the centro,
