“Comfort and Convenience”

We've stayed at this hotel before and it's always great. Convenient location, close to shops and restaurants, and easy freeway access to downtown San Francisco without the crowds. It's quiet, comfortable and affordable, especially if you're spending time in Oakland as well. Will always book into this favorite in Emeryville.

Found this hotel on Expedia with a decent price. Located nearby family and friends that I was visiting. Provided easy access to shopping and restaurants. Would recommend others to stay at this hotel.

“Loyal to Emeryville Courtyard.”

From the check in to check out, all services were an A+. Excellent bar with generous pours and great food selections. Breakfast options were fresh and as filling or light as one would choose. Taxi service or public transportation to surrounding shops, historical districts, or airport was convenient and prompt. One block easy access to the Bay Street shopping/movie/resturant village makes the hotel seem more like a resort setting.

Area recommendations

I would recommend the immediate Bay Street shops/village. Very close to Berkley, Bay bridge, Sauscilito, Jack London Square and ferry access to San Francisco.

“First choice in Bay area”

Cross the street is the outdoor shopping area, restaurants and AMC theather; a very convenient location; especially you can enjoy the BEST cookies in the Bay area - "teacake bakeshop" just 5 minutes away.

“An alternative to staying in San francisco”

Easy to get to from bay bridge. Tip: if renting a car ask for FASTTRACK pass, makes easier to go thru toll gate.

“Very Accomodating”

We have a 92 year old, the hotel automatically place us in a service room, which is big. They even have a wheel chair for us to use. We really appreciate it.

“Nice hotel -- great location.”

We stayed at Courtyard by Marriott Emeryville January 28-31, 2010. I was VERY impressed for the amount I spent. Super close to the airport. There is a mall right across the street that has restaurants (Elephant Bar, California Pizza Kitchen, Pomodoro, Rubios), AMC movie theatre and shopping. Very convenient. Many of the restaurants are open until 11pm on weekends. Cable TV in rooms for no extra charge. That was great. Hotel staff were very helpful and accomodating. FYI: Parking rate at the hotel is decent.The "Bay View King" has a small window, and the view goes like this: parking lot-freeway-THEN the bay. We were able to see Golden Gate one day of the 4 we spent there...mostly saw Bay Bridge. Overall we liked it and would spend the extra money to get the bay view again.

Area recommendations

The Emery Bay Public Market down the street has a slew of different food options. If you're going to Berkeley - Zachary's Pizza on Solano Ave has THE best deep dish pizza.
