“Beyond the "budget" place”

Best Western Plus surprised me for good. Everything was very well maintained, personnel was very friendly and accomodating, included breakfast was beyond the "continental" joke at other places with clean "chow hall" and excellent variety of food. Room was spacious, clean and well maintained. I'd give 5 stars, but will take one off for the presence of the wall-mounted ash tray in the middle of non-smoking floor. There was a group of foreigners, clearly misinterpreting the intentions: they were smoking in the hallway, filling it up with a tobacco stink. Remove the ashtray and kick the smokers onto the open-air balcony. (Disclosure, I'm a former smoker, who was always respectful of others).

This hotel was very dirty. There was dried urine on the bathroom floor. It was very noisy. In the middle of the night a loud alarm was going off. I would never stay there again.

considering there wasn't a hotel room available within 20 miles of SFO, I guess it was ok. Had to completely wipe down the table that was there for a desk. Floors creaked, furniture creaked, we won't even discuss the bathroom. Neighborhood bad enough that I refused to leave the room and ordered pizza in. Stay at your own risk.

“More than what we expected”

I was a little hesitant to stay here because of some of the reviews I have read here on Expedia. However, I was pleasantly surprised and impressed by this hotel. The location was convenient, right off of 880 and close to both a Target and Costco. The room was larger than expected, equipped with a desk, large comfy chair, and a large TV stand/dresser. The room was clean and quite nicely arranged. The front desk staff was very friendly. My only complaint is the over-zealousness of the housekeeping staff to clean the room. Twice the cleaning ladies opened our door before we had the chance to tell them we didn't need their services. The "continental breakfast" served was actually more than a continental breakfast: cereal, toast, waffles, eggs, sausages, oatmeal, muffins, and danishes were all offered. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend this place to anyone .looking to stay in the East Bay,

“Will not go back”

My family and I was excited that the web page listed a hot tub and pool. At check in, there was a note on the counter that indicated that construction was being done on the hot tub and pool for the duration of our visit. From the looks of things, nothing was being done to either the pool looked extremely dirty and the hot tub didn't have water. However, it did have a light fixture hanging out of its socket. We would not return. Although I knew there was a possibility of staying 3 nights, I am glad that we only booked two. I would have switched had I not paid in advance. For my 3rd night, I switched to another hotel.

“Great customer service.”

We chose this hotel because it was close to Woodminster Amphitheater in Oakland where I was performing in Paint Your Wagon. We reserved two rooms so that family from Chico could enjoy the evening performance and not have to drive home. The rooms were clean and well-appointed. I had requested an accessible room, but found upon arrival that the only accessible room available was a king instead of 2 queens. We were able to make the 2 queen regular room work with no problem. My sister-in-law left her coat in the room and the representative at the desk was kind enough to hold it at the desk until I could pick it up the next day. Very nice customer service.
