“OK for a night”

don;t stay long. location is good if OK with walking a bit. Maid service harrassed guests each morning to get up and out "Becasue she doesn't work 8 hours" - too bad! if you didn;t get out of there by mid-morning (yeah, I'm on vacation and sleeping in!) you would not get the room serviced. and the toilet had issues, it did not want to flush. not fun dealing with that. it was quiet enough. I'd stay agin if only for a night, but if I could afford a better place, that's where I'd recommend going.

Area recommendations

the Hood was alrgiht, but Berkeley does have a seedy element. Not sure I'd be out and about after midnight.

“Fine for the price”

This is a typical motel. Not much service available. But the building is maintained reasonably well, bathroom fixtures are new, rooms are clean. Not a fancy choice by any means, but a good value given the reasonable price. Convenient for downtown locations. Some parts of the university are a bit of an uphill hike.

“Will be staying here to visit daughter at Berkeley”

Manny was very helpful with all my questions. Will definitely stay here again. Can't beat the price!

“Berkeley Travelodge”

The room was relatively clean but surprisingly cramped. The bathroom was adequate but nothing to praise. Though this is a Travelodge it is very low rent for that type of facility.

“You have lost a repeat customer”

As above, unruly guests keeping us up until 3:30am assure we will not be back.

“convenient, but tired looking”

The desk manager was efficient, and the location was fine in its 1 mile proximity to UC Berkeley. VERY nice to have a Trader Joes across the street which was the selling point for me. The place was clean, but could use some new paint, inside and out.

“Very good”

Very good location. The room was clean, comfortable, no complaints. I arrived too early and the room wasn't ready yet. Remember this is a busy location, so plan accordinly.
