We stayed there in July for one night with family. Staff was very nice. Rooms were big and beds were very comfortable and clean. Really surprised with free breakfast, was very nice and service in breakfast room was great. It is worth the money as compare to higher chain hotels, where they don't even provide continental breakfast.
We stayed at the Oakhurst Lodge for one night on our way to Yosemite, but if I had it to do over I would have stayed there for the entire trip. It was an easy drive into the park, and the town of Oakhurst has all the necessary amenities. The lodge must have been recently renovated because the rooms were clean and very comfortable. The staff was so nice and helpful, they gave us great tips about what to do in Yosemite and provided updates for us about recent road closures. The breakfast in the morning was good and they gave us snacks for our hike. There was also a very friendly cat that the hotel seems to have adopted which provided much entertainment for the kids. Overall, we loved it and would definitely go back.
Good base for Yosemite (without actually being within the park). A bit hard to find after sunset, but once we found it, we were greeted very warmly by Bruce & Lori! The rooms are nicer than in reality than the pictures on the website. Comfortable, and great value!
