If you want to save a little bit of money, stay the night outside of Yosemite in Oakhurst. It is somewhat of a drive but worth it. Hotel is very comfortable and near places to eat and even a move theatre less than 1 mile away.

Yosemite hotels are nestled in the most stunning region of California where bass fishing and hiking are beloved daily …More
The hotel is in a good location - it is situated in a small town, so plenty of supermarkets and restaurants. Nice pool for the kids to cool off in after hiking. Close to Bass Lake and the South Entrance to Yosemite. The facility is in good shape, the rooms are sizeable, and the breakfast and Wifi are both very good.
I had a problem with the way I had booked the hotel so I ended up with 2 reservations instead of 1. I had called before I left home and was told that the reservations would be combined. However when I arrived, they were changing computer systems and still showing 2 separate reservations. The next day I would have to check out of my room and then check in again. While they thought I would get the same room, the couldn't guarantee it. I was not able to check immediately back in. I would not be able to do that until in the afternoon. Luckily when I returned from Yosemite, the lady at the desk was aware of the situation and had already checked me back in to the same room. She was terrific.
We had an amazing time at Lori and Bruce's B&B - the place has a real "at home" feel to it, our room was spacious and comfortable and the view was spectacular - not your everyday hotel.. On our second night there we had a BBQ dinner at the B&B which is highly recommended.
