“Fell for the 'hype'”
Zero personality hotel. Clean and quiet. Good if your in Waikiki for shopping but not a beach holiday. In 10 days, we never saw a soul at the pool area which seemed very isolated. 3 of us in the room, but only 2 at a time could enjoy the balcony at a time. Can't check in until after 2pm. Our flight arrived at 10am and we hung around in lobby for 3 hours. Caution: used the room telephone to make an overseas call - charges worked out to 14Dollars a minute. When I commented on the absurdity of the charges, I was told that it was common practice in Honolulu. Location of the hotel is surrounded by laneways...like a last minute plop of a hotel in the middle of nowhere. As you walk the beach and hotel strip, there are much better choices. Learnt the hard way.
“Good location”
centrally located, good restaurant downstairs but the room itself is not updated. Very old tiles and decor.
“Waikiki Park”
The hotel is centrally located but is older and in need of an update. The biggest complaint was the rooms smelled musty or there was some other odd odor in the place. The pilows were not good. The bathroom was very small. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
“Great hotel”
We were very happy with the hotel. The rates were great and it was exactly what we wanted. We were very happy to find a fridge in the room and it was great to have a balcony. The housekeeping was excellent and the concierge and reception staff were really friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay there again.
“Would return tomorrow!”
Beautifully located. Cross the street to the beach. No fuss service and pleasant staff at every encounter.
“Service”
Great service - extremely helpful - not best beach location but alright - room upgraded - comfortable beds - beach view ok but hindered by hotels across street - good shops near by - staff were very helpful and friendly !
“Unbelievable friendliness of staff”
Thoroughly impressed with the staff, location and facilities. Outstanding.
“Prime Spot for Day or Night Life!”
I can't wait to go back! Right in the heart of Waikiki :)
“NEVER AGAIN!!!”
We are homeowners here on Oahu, but we typically will get a hotel room in Waikiki if we're going to have a late dinner, generally about twice a month. We love going around to all the different 3, 4, 5 star hotels in Waikiki, depending on what suits our needs at the time. We chose the Waikiki Parc because NOBU Waikiki is our absolute favorite restaurant on the island, it was my birthday, and as a triathlete I need to swim in a lap pool. I didn't know that they actually had a pool until I did a SEARCH for pools in Expedia. So, the Parc seemed like a great choice this time. Wow, were we WRONG! The Waikiki Parc pool does not open until 8AM! When I asked at the front desk if I could swim a little earlier because it's super-hot in Hawaii if you wait until 8am, I was flatly told no. When I asked the Manager why they couldn't accomodate a Kama'aina guest for such a simple request (note: they do NOT have a LIFEGUARD on duty at ANY time), the MGR said that if they "did it for one guest, they would have to do it for others"!! What?! Um, how is it an inconvenience for other guests OR the Halekulani Corporation which owns it, to adjust the hours to take care of a customer when there's NO LIFEGUARD there either way! The reason I'm writing this review is to warn travelers that are used to a certain level of service from a 4star hotel, that a better option is "The Modern" which has a pool that is open 24/7. Not to mention, attentive, impeccable Halekulani-type service.
“Great location & staff”
Great location, staff very helpful, rooms could be a bit bigger, good value for money.
