Excellant staff. Easy checkin. Kitchen stocked well with pots and pans (not the scratced up teflon ones). Clean bedding and bathroom facilities. My only complaint is it was a noisy room. Why would I come back? You can put earplugs in if you have a heavy sleeping companion. Or request a room on the ocean front. Having stayed in Waikiki many times, it was faster and easier to get to the beach than one of the high rises on the main drag. They have free rental of beach chairs and such. Healthy places to eat nearby, if you're so inclined. Can walk to biweekly farmers market two blocks away on Tues/thurs.
"A very pleasant and interesting hotel in a good lo"
The Manoa Valley Inn has quite a history. The present owners have done a good job of restoring and maintaining
the building and gardens. They have also added authentic furnishings which keep the historic background of the
mansion and gardens intact. Each room is carefully decorated and is unique. It is the real deal! As a guest you
feel like you have traveled back in history. The gardens are very lush and add to the beauty of the mansion. A special treat for guests is the hidden swimming pool surrounded by the flowering trees and bushes.
The delicious breakfast/brunch served on the veranda is another high point to the visit. The protected outdoor
surroundings add to the feeling of enjoying your own mansion on a leisurely morning. I'm talking about a full
on breakfast with something for everyone. The kitchen staff will also cook "to order" items including special pancakes! I wish I lived closer to the Manoa Valley Inn!
"Fantastic hotel with activities, options for all"
This was an absolute gem. The location is away from the hubbub of Waikiki, but still with options for restaurants within walking distance. The grounds of the hotel (and all the properties in the area) are well-maintained, and the walking trails along the beach are spectacular. The hotel has plenty of activities for all ages, too.
The accommodations were great. You do need to remember, this is a condo, not a hotel with all the perks, but it was very close to anything you needed, all types of bus service and transportation, information about island, stores, beach, great eateries, nice shops, etc. We appreciated the coffee left so we could make a couple pots and bath towels. Our only complaint was, we were only given one entry fob (key) This did cause us some problems. We would definitely book there again.
