“A Hidden Gem”

What a great find! The Hotel Renew is a cool "boutique hotel" half a block from Waikiki Beach. It has great staff and a decent continental breakfast to boot. Highly recommended.

“Impressed, will recommend and go back”

Stayed there for 9 nights. the location was perfect, a minutes walk to the waikiki beach, the waikiki trolleys stopping outside hotel. the staff are extremely friendly and willing to help always, made us feel very special. must say it was my birthday and they even left me a card and a freshly cut pineapple on the table.will never forget that. the staff alos provide for matts, beach towels and chairs perfect. if you need to go anywhere just ask the conceirge and they would arrange that for you. loved the place and the people will return

“EXCELLENT FIND”

Have stayed here twice now and just love this hotel. Two blocks off the main drag towards Diamond Head side of Waikiki. Perfect place to stay!!!

“Best small boutique hotel in Waikiki! What a gem!”

This hotel exceeded my expectations. Everyone was so friendly and the room is so clean and modern. I loved everything from the ease of check in, the ease of checking out boogie boards, towels, mats, etc....they even have complimentary continental breakfast which is perfect, consisting of fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, muffins, toast, juice, and coffee. If you are looking for a cute, modern hotel with a great location, not too big and touristy, choose this hotel!! I will be recommending this place to all my friends. Loved it!!! P.s. they even sent up a bottle of champagne because they knew I was celebrating my anniversary! Sweet!!!

“Would stay again”

This hotel was fantastic! We stayed the week leading up to APEC so Hawaii was very busy with people everywhere but we found that once we walked in the doors at Hotel Renew it was calm and peaceful. The hotel staff where fantastic with helping to organise our activities and suggestions on where to eat and what to see. breakfast was always busy but we never had to wait long for a table and we always had enough. We had an ocean view room with a balcony so had great views of not only the beach but also the hills. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a relaxed place to stay..

“Great little hotel”

We enjoyed our stay. Great complimentary breakfast. No coffee in room but there is a Starbucks around the corner..opens at 0430! The personnel at the front desk were very helpful. The hotel is one block from the beach. Free beach chairs and towels were avaiable. Bed was very comfortable.

“Awesome Hotel”

This was a great experience. I have been to Hawaii 8 times and this was the best hotel I have ever stayed in. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is great too. The hotel is only steps from the beach. It is located close to everything. The Waikiki Trolly stops right outside the hotel.

“Lovely Place!!!”

Hotel Renew is a very modern, clean and lovely boutique hotel. We stayed for 5 nights and the staff always greeted us with a smile. They were always willing to help and give us any info we needed and they always offered or asked to help us with anything. Breakfast was good, the room was clean, comfortable and nicely updated. Check out was early but they held our luggage for us and gave us a complimentary one hour room to shower before our flight. Its located near many of the pick up spots for tranportation services and only a block from Waikiki beach and the strip. There is no pool but who needs a pool when the beach is only 3 min away?! Overall our stay was very comfortable and pleasant. We absolutely loved it and reccomend it to anyone looking for a reasonable and great place to stay in Honolulu. We will visit again!

When to go
We went in the beginning of October and its great weather and there are a lot less tourists from what we were told by many of the locals.
Getting around
Most definately rent a car and drive around the island yourself. Its nice to be able to stop and see the beaches and sights on your own time. Pick up maps from your hotel or from the booklets at the airport or street kiosks. They are very helpful and usually highlight the nicer spots to visit.
Events and shows
Anyone staying in Oahu definately needs to go to the Polynesian Cultural Center. Its a long day and can be pricey but is absolutely wonderful and quite an experience. The guided tour is the best, you will get to see and learn more. The luau and buffet are good too. It was definately one of the highlights of our trip.

“Great location.”

We only stayed for 3 days in hotel Renew but it was excellent. very well sized room, clean and very friendly and helpfull staff. The hotel itself is in a perfect location for waikiki beach and shops, bars, restaurants. But its located at the end of the beach so its not too noisy at night. If we ever had the oppertunity to visit Oahu again we will stay here again.

Area recommendations
Waikiki area is great for shopping and people watching from a bar. get on a trolley for $1.50 and go to the Ala moana shopping centre for all the shopping you could ever need. We also went to Pearl Harbour our hotel arranged a shuttle bus to get us there for $30 but you need to arrive early as its free to get in and see the arrizona memorial. we arrived at 0730 and it was getting busy.

“Excellent”

Probably not a hotel for children as no pool and more positioned as a "boutiquey" hotel. Location is one short block from beach and hotel provides towels and beach-chairs. Breakfast is a good continental with fruit, pastry, toast, and cereal. Staff were extremely good and, as our flight out was early evening, provided a place to store our luggage when we checked out AND provided a free room before we left to wash-up and change into our travel clothes. Free wi-fi and breakfast is always good to have and room was large enough for two travellers and had a large flatscreen TV. I'm not one to go overboard with ratings but would give Renew 4.8 to 5.0 out of 5.00 and would go back anytime.
