love the hotel, staff was very helpful. valet and bell hop is only friendly if they feel you have money. we were greeted with a lei and everyone was nice and no complaints about them for us, but our daughter who lives at the north shore has a jalopy car was basically ignored. we go to this hotel every year, and get 2 rooms. you can't judge people by the car they drive, especially in hawaii
We returned to the Royal Hawaiian again for our annual visit, it remains our favorite hotel in Honolulu (the Trump is a close second but doesn't have the enviable location). As usual, upon arrival to the driveway of the hotel, we suddenly arrive to an oasis, tucked away from the busy shopping area nearby. Whilst the hotel was quite busy and check-in took longer than usual, the staff were friendly and courteous as always. Our corner room had ocean views from one side and a great view along the coast to diamond head from another, as expected, it was well kept and clean, with good amenities, although the bathroom was not as large as our previous rooms here.
I loved this hotel, would definitely go back. Great facilities and overall a wonderful vibe about it. Fabulous location, only one block back from the beach. Staff were friendly and helpful... room was spacious, with balcony. Lovely bathroom with all the amenitities you need. Great view of the golf course & mountains. I was only there for 5 nights but could have easily stayed for longer.
We booked a deluxe ocean view room for our family holiday. The room was very clean and spacious, however not much of an ocean view. The staff was super friendly. Close walking distance to the beach and the main shops. The breakfast was average. The kids loved their time at the hotel. Mahalo for a very enjoyable time.
I wanted to stay in a hotel close to the Waikiki Shell since we were attending the Kapono concert Saturday night and didn't want to drive home to Central Oahy and when searching on Expedia this hotel rated well and the one night price even with the valet parking was reasonable. My husband and I have stayed in Waikiki hotels before but never this far out of downtown Waikiki and found when checking in that it is a very cozy hotel with a beautiful beach front and wondered how come we never stayed here before.
Hotel staff were very accomodating and courteous.... Cleaning crew were great, knowledgable, helpful and provided valuable tips for places to eat around town.... I would highly recommend this hotel and will be back for sure.....
It didn't take us more than 15 min. from the time we arrive at this hotel to get into the pool. The check-in process was easy and short and the elevators were never busy. I don't know why but they had already upgraded us to an ocean view room on the 26th floor. The pool was on the main entrance by the street and very warm - just right. We could walked across the street and be at the beach - or go shopping 2' away. there were a lot of restaurants to eat at nearby.
The concierge answered any questions we had and the travel lady arranged for a little sunset boat cruise on Friday night to watch the fireworks at the Hilton. It was fun. I liked the fact that you could sit around the pool at night and watch the entertainment from 6:30 to 8:30. Very Relaxing.
