Nice hotel but views were undesirable.

Posted 20-Jul-2014
Pros: The hospitality room was a great addition and will probably convince me to stay here again. The staff was outstanding.
Cons: Nothing
Location: If one likes to walk, Waikiki is within a doable walk.
We had a mountain view room that was more like a building or city view. The walk to the beach was a little further than I had expected, description was a bit deceiving. Hotel staff were all very friendly and extremely polite and helpful. The hospitality room was a huge benefit to us and very much appreciated.

Nice hotel close to the beach

Posted 19-Jul-2014
This is a good hotel to stay if ypu afe wanting to stay close to the beach. But don't get confused by the title (like I did) and select this one if you want your hotel to be one right off the beach. In that case you may want to pick the Hilton Hawaiian Village or the Royal Princess or even the Moana Surfrider. Otherwise, overall good hotel and great service. Kim at the conceirge desk was most helpful.

Very good hotel with friendly staff

Posted 16-Jul-2014
Pros: Cleanliness and the friendly staff.
Cons: Free wifi in the rooms.
Location: Beach, shops, Waikiki beach. However, it is much nicer in the Pali Mountain area than busy Waikiki.
My partner and I had a very pleasing experience at Hilton Waikiki Beach. Our flight arrived at 8am in the morning meaning we got to the hotel by 9am. Even though check in isn't until 3pm, staff allowed us to go straight to our room without any extra fees. After a ten hour flight this was greatly appreciated. The room itself was clean and in good condition. One negative was that free Wi-Fi was not provided in the room (it was free in the lobby area). This was very inconvenient, as the only time we really spent in the room was late night and early morning. Overall it was a pleasing stay and I would recommend it to anyone visiting Waikiki.

Great place to stay.

Posted 09-Jul-2014
Pros: Great place to stay. Staff was friendly and attentive to your needs. Cocktails coffee and desert in the lounge/bar with live entertainment nitely.
Cons: Variety of 24/7 restaurant menu
Location: Beach, shopping for all budgets, restaurants fast food to upscale close by. Bus line on Kuhio ave travels to Ala Moana park area
Enjoyed the beaches although Kailua beach park was my choice less urban. Enjoyed a variety of dining choices. I shalll return.

lovely hotel, close to beach

Posted 09-Jul-2014
Pros: the hotel was nicely updated, and the restaurant and bar were great, beds were very comfortable and HVAC was excellent
Cons: the pool
Location: right off of beach and walking distance to shopping, zoo restaurant,, easy pick up , drop off for adventures, tours etc..
went to visit friends and family and very pleasantly surprised by the hotel, it was chossen by my in laws secretary , it was clean , lovely staff, great food and fun bar... close to everything , location was perfect. the only compliant was the pool it was so boring and almost looked like you were not in a nice hotel.. we never went to lay out by pool and relax , it felt like an apartment pool with nothing pleasing to the eye at all... aside from that it was a perfect place...

Nice Hotel Close to the Beach

Posted 09-Jul-2014
Pros: The staff was very friendly and the facility was very clean. The pineapple was the best I've had in my entire life.
Cons: Valet parking fee needs to be done away with if you are a registered guest.
Location: The hotel was a block from the beach. There's an ABC store directly across the corner to get great coffee and gifts.
The hotel was very nice. It's very clean and the staff were very friendly. Our flight arrived almost 10 hours late and I didn't want to lose a day in Hawaii so I was able to stay an extra night because the airlines allowed us to come back a day later without charging us a fee. The hotel staff wouldn't offer us any military discount or discount on the last night even after explaining the nightmare we had getting to Oahu. We had to pay for an extra night at full price. Upon learning we were there for our 25th anniversary the staff sent up a bottle of champagne and snacks on two different occasions the first day we were there. Charging guests $25 a day to valet park a car is absurd. For the price they charge for the rooms parking should be included. I feel it's just another money grab for visitors, and this practice needs to be done away with. Shame on you Hilton Waikiki Beach. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much and wouldn't hesitate staying here in the future if the price is right.

Perfect holiday

I could not fault this hotel in any way. Great location one block back from the beach. Superb view from the 36th floor. All staff were incredibly polite and helpful. Reasonably modern room, very comfortable bed.

Hilton Waikiki Beach Hotel is near perfect!

Posted 08-Jul-2014
Pros: King bed, ocean view room, bathroom, elevators are fast, great staff.
Cons: Only thing I did not like was the valet parking. Alot of the time the area was congested and I had to wait 15 minutes for my car one morning.
Location: One block back from Waikiki Beach which is a plus. Much quieter and not as busy, only 7 minute walk to Waikiki beach. Lots of restaurants.
Fantastic 6 nights stay. First time to Hawaii, staff were so accommodating and eager to please. Stayed on level 24 with a ocean view, looked around the clean attractive room and walked onto the balcony. First thoughts were WOW now this is paradise. King bed and pillows were so comfy, would of been happy to stay in bed hehe. Pool and Spa on level 10 was also great, nothing over the top but it does its job. Lots of chairs - wasnt too crowed which makes it more enjoyable. Overall a fantastic experience and I will be staying with Hilton again.
