Good hotel close to the Waikiki beach and bus stop

Posted 20-Apr-2014
We enjoyed our stay. The hotel's location is really good and we can walk to the beach and shops/restaurants. We did not rent a car at Oahu but we are still able to go to lots of places taking the bus.

Pros: It location, quick walk to the beach and even Diamond Head.
Cons: Nothing I can think of.

Clean, quiet hotel close to Waikiki beach

Posted 12-Apr-2014
Pros: Clean, beds were comfortable, quiet. Close to the beach. No resort fee.
Cons: Offer continental breakfast. Offer self parking at more reasonable rates than the valet only.
This is a clean, quiet hotel one block from the east end of Waikiki Beach. The rooms are standard size for a family of four. The pool and Jacuzzi area are nice. They have plenty of chairs and beds available on the deck. The poolside bar is convenient and the staff is very friendly. The pool is great for kids and adults alike. It tends to get a bit windy as it is located on the 10th floor. Parking is very expensive. However, I recommend parking at the Banyan next door or try to find public parking near Kapiolani park. I also wish there were continental breakfast. Mac 24/7 the on-site restaurant is excellent but a bit pricey. They offer very generous portions so my wife and I split some meals. Most of the good restaurants are at least 4 blocks west from the hotel on Kuhio or Ala Moana. We preferred "locals" eateries which there are many of nearby on Kapahulu and Monserrat drives. Entrance to the Highway 1 is also nearby. This place was a great headquarters. Although, we planned our own activities ahead of time, the hotel offers concierge services. We stayed on the 9th floor and didn't have any problems with street noise. While not as fancy as the other Hilton in the area, I would still highly recommend this quality hotel. The staff does a great job of providing top service. There is no hidden resort fee.

Nice, clean, well located hotel, just one block form the beach. Handy being on the bus line to Ala Moana. The staff are very friendly and we felt very safe and comfortable at this hotel.

Great Hotel with NO Resort Fee!!

Posted 08-Apr-2014
Pros: Price, NO RESORT FEE, nice vibe, great live entertainment, 24/7 eatery. Close enough to the beach and fast food places. There's an ABC store near by.
Cons: Cheaper restaurant prices and cheaper parking. You must valet park and it's $25 a day.
Location: Not far from the beach. Near great shopping and even fast food places. Public transportation is at the front door.
This hotel is not far from the water but SOOO worth the walk. No resort fee, free internet and use of their computers in their business room. The pool was ok, but Waikiki Beach is very close by. The pool bar was a sad looking thing, but if you ignore it all is good. The pricing was good compared to the On The Beach hotels. On the Beach hotels are way to loud and crazy at night. They are all very overpriced too. The Lobby is a delight with a bar and live music entertainment. (Very good guitarist / singers.) The Mac 24/7 restaurant is very overpriced, but then again what isn't in Honolulu. The upside is that they are open 24/7. The staff is very friendly. (Except for one lady. She gave us some grief on checkout day.) The rooms are great. We had the mountain view and it was spectacular. The ocean view is nothing special, and cost more.

It is not right to the beach like the advertise.

Posted 06-Apr-2014
Pros: Staffs are friendly.
Cons: There is no changing room in the swimming pool.
Location: Have to cross couple streets to approach the beach
Better choose some other hotels with same price or cheaper but just need to take a block to the beach. You don't want to wear bikini and walk about 3,4 block back and forward to your hotel.
