All of the 521 air-conditioned rooms at the 33-floor Hawaii Prince Hotel Waikiki face the ocean, providing harbor and water views from floor-to-ceiling windows. The upper portions of the windows can be opened. Decor is light-colored and island-style.

“Sunset Heaven!”

If you want a hotel where you can leave your HUGE window open all night and day and hear the sounds of the Ocean, this Hotel is for you. I loved being able to sleep all night with my winodw open and no bugs, noice, just the ocean. Book an a higher floor. I stayed on the 20th floor and it was perfect! The staff is very professional, The room was remodeled. The pool was peaceful, salt water, and a bit cool, very natural. This is my Hotel for Waikiki. Oahu prices with a Maui Feel Can't wait to go back!

“Comfortable and quiet location.”

Quiet location for young families. They rate it 4 star. I would not. But having said that...it is clean and nice, albeit dated.

Area recommendations

Hawaii Prince hotel location was great. It is in a quiet location in front of a marina. We like poaching off the hotel lobbies in the busy locations and then coming back to a quiet and secluded location...without the people and business and noise. Great location for young families.

“Free shuttle to waikiki”

Great hotel next to the ocean, park, harbor, and the huge Ala Moana mall. Great service and the free shuttle to the Waikiki area is so convenient. You can even watch the free firework show on Fridays that the Hilton lights up.

“great hotel, great views”

It isn't especially close to the beach - but it is only about ten minutes away. On the other hand, it has spectacular views and is over the harbor. Plus it is across the street from three different car rental places, so if you plan to rent a car and drive around the island (like you should) and return it the same day to avoid having to pay for parking, then this is a great place for you! The sunset over the harbor is fantastic - the restaurant is outlandish ($17 for a continental breakfast that is _not_ delivered to the room!), and there is a good pub around the back and down the stairs that is reasonably priced and makes their own pizza dough. Plus there is a coffee place, Indian food, Vietnamese sandwiches (Bánh_mì) etc right across the street.

“Will stay here again”

We loved the hotel. The view was incredible--it overlooks the yacht club and the water. The rooms were large and comfortable. Ala Moana park was just across the canal and is a wonderful place for a morning walk or jog. The parking at the hotel was the best we have seen in Honolulu. The hotel has a shuttle that runs every half hour to and from three different spots in Waikiki. We used it almost every day. Everyone was so helpful and went out of their way to accomodate our every question and request. There are several restaurants on the same block: The Chart House, Outback, and Red Lobster. McDonald's is across the street and IHOP is just down the street. Thye hotel has an Expedia rep in the lobby to suggest and help you plan activities. That was very convenient. We will stay here the next time we visit Honolulu.
