“cheap but dont be put off!”
i was a bit dubious about booking at a cheaper hotel, but all i wanted was a room for the few nights i was there. Basically the room was very nice big enough for just me, had a nice balcony definately ok for two people. Staff fantastic car parking a bit pricey, and breakfast not really breakfast but its free and you have free hot drinks all day! Great location! would recommend to anyone! why waste money on swomewhere like the hilton when this place is cheaper, and execentky located to the strip and beach and pretty much everything! says its a 3 * i agree but should be a 5*
“No frills but an enjoyable stay”
The hotel is a 5 minute walk from Waikiki Beach. The room I stayed in had a microwave, coffee maker and small fridge. The room was a fairly good size and had a very comfortable queen size bed in. The staff was very friendly. The only bad thing about this hotel was the "continental" breakfast; very limited choice of food and not very nice, apart from the fresh pineapples. The "breakfast room" was not big enough for all of us to sit down and quite a lot of people had to sit in the lobby area to eat their breakfast on their lap. Apart from that, I had a great experience and will use this hotel again if I get the opportunity to return to Hawaii.
“Good base for Waikiki”
The hotel is well placed a few blocks from the front (no bad thing)and in a location free from unwanted noise and disturbance that is typical of busy urban locations. Breakfast might be a bit early for some between 0700 and 0830 and they do close on time but the help yourself system offered something for all. The fresh fruit was really fresh! Space is at a premium so if you are there at the last minute chances are you will need to take the food back up to your room. The lobby service was very responsive, every request we made was dealt with prompty and with a smile. Having an expedia agent handy eight hours a day helped for tour advice but blimey the excursions that are plentiful are quite expensive. Our room slept four, a double, a single and a double sofa bed. All were fine. The microwave and fridge with basic kitchen utensils allowed us to eat in when we wanted to. Waikiki eating out is more expnsive than other parts of USA. The free use of a room safe was great, saves you enough dollares for a few rounds of drinks and although not very modern the bathroom facility was functional and worked perfectly with lashings of hot water 24 hrs a day. We kind of placed this as a very good 3star hotel and for parties who are not relying on in house entertainment a good base to explore Oahu from.
