My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights. The room was spacious and comfortable. The king size bed was great. The AC worked well for when it was hot outside. The Jacuzzi and shower had nice hot water at any time of day. The porch had a really comfortable couch that we spent a lot of time lounging on. All the facilities in the bathroom worked well.
We had an all inclusive package, and they kept the room stocked a few times a day, especially useful for having a steady supply of bottled water.
We ate at 2 restaurants at the hotel: Azul and Piaf. Azul was open at nearly any time of the day. The dinner quality was better than I expected and really tasty. The lunch options were generally buffet style but still pretty good and with a large variety.
Piaf is a French restaurant and was frankly a bit underwhelming. The portion sizes were small and the food was tasty, but I wasn't blown away. If I weren't on an all-inclusive package I probably would have felt like it wasn't worth it.
We also ordered room service at basically all times of the day, even for snacks. The room service food quality was really good, too.
On the day of our checkout, my wife wasn't feeling well, and the hotel was able to let us stay in the comfort of our room for hours after checkout time so that we could go straight to the airport. I was very pleased that they accommodated us this way.
The pool was busy but not overly crowded. Lots of families with loud kids, though.
Took a PV city tour, had fajitas (mmm) at a mountain restaurant, and Tequila tasting (mmm) at an authentic Tequila farm through Pepe's Tours :) :) :)
Went on an entertaining boat tour to Las Caletas, snorkelled with colourful fish, swam in the surf, relaxed on the beach, they had many activities to choose from, and had a great lunch... :) :) :)
Did the Rhythm of The Night Boat Tour, includes entertainment, romantic dinner, and a fabulous show at Las Caletas...a must see :) :) :)
We also went swimming with the dolphins, looking at the pictures I think I was having way too much fun ;)
Can't forget the great 'free' entertainment at the Hotel Theatre...a Michael Jackson Show and a Vegas style show :) :) :)
Went for a bike ride to take pictures of the iguanas sunning in the mangroves over the river :)
Spent time swimming in the surf and the pools around the hotel.
And my brother's wedding was amazing, the hotel staff worked flawlessly at making it a memorable occasion *****
Stayed one week only...should have booked two :) :) :) :) :)
I loved this hotel. We ate the buffet breakfast before 8 and got it 1/2 price. The restaurant has a beautiful view of the ocean and the sunsets are amazing! You can also see it from the hot tub. Zumba, water fitness, yoga on the beach and Spanish class are some of the fun activities we attended. Don't miss the night shows. We loved going to Bucerias for amazing dinners with live music. We took one boat tour which was fun. We booked it in the city and got a better price. The workers were very attentive. The hotel has a policy of quiet after 11, so it was good for sleeping. I can't wait to go back!
Some confusion at checkin and did not get room that we booked but were upgraded. This seemed to be a common occurence in discussions with other guests.
Food is excellent and staff are very friendly and helpful.
I plan to come back in 2017. It will not be less than 7 days. Just in the four days I was there was great. Even the tour for time share was good even though we couldn't afford it right now, Angel and Alfredo were great. Very pleased, food was good the whole resort was clean and excellent staff. Thanks Joe and Lisa.
This was my first time to Mexico. So this was a short 3 day vacation for me. I traveled alone and was greatly surprised at the beautiful scenery of the hotel. The weather was great. The food and poolside bar was awesome! The food was well prepared and offered a nice variety of Italian and Mexican cuisine. I definitely intend to come back for a longer stay. I didn't get a chance to take advantage of the Spa or go on any tours. I highly recommend this hotel for single travelers, families. etc. Enjoy your stay!
This hotel has great service and the rooms are large and comfortable. The staff were very attentive to our needs. Since we had a family group of 14, the hotel located us on one floor adjacent to each other, which was what we asked for. The food is well prepared and all restaurants allow children except the Italian one. We would have liked easier access to the snack bar, which is located closer to the beach than the main tower. I think they used to have the snack bar closer to the lobby, but it was moved due to preparations for the Christmas Eve supper. Also between 5:00 pm, when the snack bar closes, and 6:30 pm, when the restaurants open, the only food available is through room service. The Christmas Eve supper was really excellent, with Mexican folklore entertainment by the pool side.
The rooms have a strange set up with the bath-tub standing out in the room between the shower/toilet area and the sleeping area, which makes it too open for comfort. There were also some plumbing issues is one of our many rooms and no stoppers in the sinks. However, the rooms are very spacious and each has a couch seating area. The mini bar had beer and soft drinks and was restocked each day. There is a jacuzzi on the deck, which is nice to relax in the open.
The beach is clean and lots of fun for boogy boarding. One of our party got hurt is a large wave and the Amerimed doctor was there quickly. I can't say enough for how attentive the doctor (Brenda) was. All turned out well.
