Disjointed and unorganised.
Recently stayed two nights at this hotel, booked through Expedia. Hotel was like a ghost town on arrival, a simple checking took us nearly twenty five minutes to complete. Major confusion on if we had already paid through Expedia or required to pay hotel direct. Eventually I got my emails from Expedia up on my phone to clarify the issue. Our room was very basic but was cleaned to a high standard. Stains on carpets and plates of food outside in the corridors made for an unpleasant first impression. The bedroom furniture was basic chipboard construction made to look like Pine - not only very aged by design but also antique from ikea. The shower in the hotel was awful. Both a lack of pressure and ability to hold a constant temperature. We mentioned the shower to one of the many receptionists we saw and our comments fell on completely deaf ears. We were there for a wedding, in which the Bride and groom were completely let down by the hotel on several aspects, but this cannot make up MY review. In the evening I asked for a bottle of water from the bar. I was told they didn't have any. A simple request which any establishment should be able to supply. The breakfast served was very nice, cannot fault the amount of toast we received!! However the two members of staff serving in the restaurant made it clear that they didn't like each other. Tutting and rolling theirs eyes at each other when serving guests. They also proceeded to have an argument outside tge roo

Very near the vineyard
It was a very comfortable stay for one night and very conveniently situated for our visit to the Roman Vineyard as it is only a 7 minute walk. We had good food, dinner and breakfast, and friendly service.

Nice location, average stay
The room itself did not reflect the price unfortunately. The surrounding areas are so wonderful which is probably why the hotel can charge that price. However if it was in a different location I feel the room would have been half the cost we paid. Everything was clean and most staff were friendly

Short weekend break...disappointing facilities, short staffed so poor service .....all effort was applied to the wedding event which was taking place. This made us feel as 'outsiders' as there was no 'getting away' from the wedding party.

Lovely setting, pleasant staff.
Lovely setting and gorgeous views but parts of the hotel were a little shabby. The service was good and our room clean. There was a lack of attention to detail though - the salad accompanying the evening meal wasn't fresh and there was a poor selection of breakfast cereals and fruit. We had a room with a four-poster bed but there was no shower, just a bath with a shower hose on the bath tap. I don't know if that was clear on the booking form. There were no toiletries supplied either, just soap dispensers fixed to the wall.
