Awesome hotel and awesome value

Posted 27-Aug-2014
Pros: Everything. The room, the price, the staff.
Cons: Nothing at all.
Location: Restaurants close by, though as usual the French road networks make it difficult to navigate on foot (not the hotel's fault!)
I'm not sure if we fluked some special offer, but the price was amazing for the family room we had. After struggling at short notice to find ANY family rooms available in any of the hotel chains, I had resigned myself to paying for 2 rooms, then found this. The room was great, all facilities you would need, and perfect for a family of 4. Staff friendly and helpful. Close to several restaurants, plus the hotel one. Can't fault it really.

Family one night stop over

Posted 12-Jul-2014
Very good stop over with two kids. Conveniently located for petrol and food, just off the motorway. Secure parking - outdoor but gated so no problem if you have a roofbox. Just over one hour from eurotunnel.

Disappointing stay

Posted 23-Feb-2014
Pros: Nothing.
Cons: Cost. Bed comfort. Family room size. Baby facilities. Air conditioning. Friendliness and helpfulness of staff.
Location: Situated on a retail park, so plenty if shops and restaurants within walking distance. Sign posts to hotel could do with some improvement.
Room was very small to sleep 2 adults, 1child and a toddler (still in cot). Very warm room air con didn't make any difference to room temp. Beds hard and uncomfortable. Nice refurbished bathroom - no bath just shower. Staff were just 'staff' didn't particularly make us feel welcome or be helpful towards us. Restaurant opened too late to feed children. Buffet breakfast restaurant was very small and no facilities for toddlers i.e no highchair, a car booster seat was provided which sat loose on seat and had no harness! Very over priced. Suitable for business traveller.

Great hotel for a family stop over.

Posted 03-Jan-2014
Pros: Nothing is too much trouble for the staff.
Cons: For the amount you pay the standard is very good. No improvement are required.
Location: The hotel is a bit tricky to find. There are shops, restaurants and a petrol station in the immediate vicinity.
We regularly use this hotel on our way home from the South of France as a stop over so we can make an early start in order to catch an early ferry. The hotel is great value for money. The restaurant is good and the staff are friendly. I would definitely recommend it.

Good hotel

Posted 03-Nov-2013 on Hotels.com
Cleanliness of room/hotel:Good standard Quality of service:Reception staff took a while to see to us Hotel amenities:Did not use amenities as it was a one night stopover Hotel location:Good location but was diffcult to find.Needs better road signage.A bonus was that local taxes were included unlike Ibis that charge taxes even when you think you have paid everything on booking.

World War1 tour

Posted 01-Nov-2013
Pros: Very helpful staff, comfortableand spacioue rooms.
Cons: A few TV channels in English would be good.
Location: Lots of WW1 sites to visit and great countryside. Hotel on the edge of a massive retail park with numerous shops.
Welcoming comfortable hotel which was just what we needed after a long day visiting WW1 sites.
