hotel was very nice , food at breakfast ,8.45, coffee was yuck!, eggs were rubber, also staff on duty told us we couldnt sit at a certain table as it was set up for evening meals , a lie no differently set up from other tables, also other people were sitting there next morning , an it was not busy.Pool was lovely Had plenty parking, and a Starbucks.. Would stay again
"good hotel nice surroundings, drove past it then t"
the hotel itself was good would make a nice break, nice facilities but did not get time to use them due to late booking
my booking was done through Expedia using their 40% off secret code which stated there was free breakfast one of the main reasons for booking it, though the next day after having breakfast and checking out i had to pay for the breakfast.
The confirmation from Expedia was room only so partially the fault liis with Expedia but also the staff at check-in at the hotel should have double checked this when i checked in.
it is their fault but also the staff at check in did not confirm this or mention it, which meant i had to pay it and then take it up with expedia which can take 2 or 3 weeks to resolve
Stayed one night at The Charnwood and was as expected of Great Westerns a pleasant hotel. Rooms tidy and clean and restaurant not over expensive apart from drinks of course.
One downer was the Pork dish which my wife had, too much fat which had to be left.

Andrew and Carole have opened their immaculate Georgian house and treat visitors as house guests. They are very interesting people who enjoy conversation with their guests. A most enjoyable experience for all.
Stayed for one night but wished we had stayed longer. The staff at the hotel were really friendly and helpful, the hotel was spotless and the food was excellent!
We stayed in an executive room which was expensive but worth it.
Would definately reccomend this hotel.
Have stayed in many hotels across the world,I can say that The Orchard is one of the best. Don't be put off by thinking its on a 'uni' campus.....lovely location. From the point of walking through the door to leaving I cannot say there are any faults to the hotel. The staff really do need a mention, as customer service is sometimes seriously lacking in the UK, all the staff at The Orchard are very customer focused, all lovely and nothing was to much trouble and extremely polite. Thank you all for restoring my faith and showing that if you have the right team, nothing is impossible. Thank you for a lovely stay
