“Good Value”

Very comfy bed in pleasant small hotel. Room a bit small, but what do you need for an overnight stay? Good TV (all channels).

“Unpleasant room”

I had a room with a very dirty window looking into a brick wall about half a metre away from the window. There was a fire exit door in the room. The bed was so close to dressing table there was no room for a chair - you had to sit on the end of the bed to use the table and look in the mirror. I've had better rooms in this hotel. This room should be decomissioned.

“Good choice in Nottingham”

A bit old fashioned from the outside this is a nice economy class hotel just fine for a night or two. All the staff I came into contact with were friendly and helpful. Rooms basic with smallish bathrom,but clean and with a very comfortable bed. For the price I was very satisfied, and its charm makes a change from a soulless chain hotel. If you need a clean and inexpensive hotel within easy walking distance of Nottingham city centre then you will be hard pressed to find anything to beat this one.

“Quiet and friendly”

Pleasant hotel, opposite the Arboretum. Small room, but with comfy bed. Stairs in main building are steep and there is no lift.

“Lucky little find!”

The Park Hotel is an adorable hotel. It is actually two large, separate, freestanding houses. It is very reasonably priced. The decor was unexpectedly trendy. The hotel's quiet location was perfect, opposite the Arboretum yet walking distance into the town centre. I would recommend this hotel to everyone, and particularly to parents visiting their children who are attending the University of Nottingham or Nottingham Trent.

“Leafy and Lovely”

The Park Hotel in Nottingham was really well-appointed in terms of the room, bed, tv etc. The only drawback, however, was the dripping shower - it was not up to the standard of the rest of the room and was obviously quite old.

“Stay here if you like....”

If you like your room to have it's heating on full blast in the middle of June with no way to turn it down or off. Parking your car in a really dodgy looking neighbourhood with signs of broken glass from previous break ins - reception did warn me to remove any satnav suction sticker marks though! No one on reception after 12 and nobody answering the phone (not sure what would happen in a real emergency) I probably had the most uncomfortable nights sleep I have had in years, woke up in the middle of the night sweating due to heat and wanted to check out down to the Premier Inn down the road but could not raise anyone at the hotel to sort out heating or help.

“Small room, good location”

Great location, very small double room, would be good single, but too small for double. Comfy bed, good tv, and shower room. But air conditioning very hot, and up the top of the house in stifling. No car parking and very steep stairs, but if you get this at a cheap price these things are the compromise.
