"Hotel adjacent to East Midlands conference centre"
I booked a one night stay in a double room. My 16 year old daughter was attending a workshop at Nottingham University and I really didn't want to make 2 return trips to Kent in 2 days so I booked into the Orchard. It was very new, clean and comfortable with a reasonably powerful shower. Breakfast was good although a little chaotic from the organisational point of view.
Excellent location .5/10 minute walk to the centre. Staff nice and friendly. Hotel was very clean our room was cleaned every day towels changed if needed and tea and coffee stocked up. Managed to get a parking permit too. Our room was very spacious. Would definitely recommend and you can't go wrong for the price.

A surprisingly clean and comfortable hotel; a night's stay is really a bargain for the price.
Staff were polite and human. Check in and out were quick. I asked for an iron and ironing board - they were there in 5 minutes. What more can one ask?
Some of the furniture looks a little dated with one or two battle-scars, but it was perfectly serviceable for my stay, and I don't need designer furniture adding to the bill. The storage/wardrobe unit had masses of space for clothing and luggage (which sometimes isn't the case at vastly more expensive hotels). There's a charming little door in the unit that upon opening reveals a cubbyhole that houses the kettle and generous numbers of sachets for coffee tea, milk and sugar. The bed was comfortable and sheets clean. The bathroom was spotless and the water hot.
Although there is no restaurant, the reception staff pointed me in the direction of some great places to eat that are only a few minutes walk away as the hotel is located in the centre of Nottingham. I can't comment on the "Grab and Go" style breakfast as I had a breakfast meeting elsewhere.
Overall a pleasant stay at a great price.
