I was in Beirut to visit my son who was attending a course within the compound of the French embassy which is not very far from the hotel so it was a very convenient location for both of us. The taxi fare to the hotel was $25. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very big modern and very clean. The en suite was a joy to use. The infinity swimming pool on the roof was also beautiful but was not heated when I visited. We felt safe in the area though there was palpable tension in the city and a suicide bomber had caused carnage on the weekend we were there! We did not use any of the other facilities in the hotel so that we did not have breakfast or dine there. Restaurants around the hotel do not exist but there is a Mc Donald near it. Our son was our guide so that if you were not familiar with the city the attractions/tourist area of the city are at least a 10 to 15 minute drive away by taxi.
The service was impeccable, the staff very well mannered and professional , the location is very convinient being it close to Downtown and Ashrafieh too. Above all, the interiors are a bonus for the hotel . The Attention to detail is indeed worthy of praise. Starting from the finishing, right down to each ornament and piece of furniture , the choices are just right . Excellent sofas throughout the hotel where leather reigns over all else !

"Horrible Hotel. Don't even think of coming to this dump...."
We booked this hotel because we were in dire need of AC, but it was a huge mistake. Our room was damp and smelly, the bath tub was rusted, the sheets were even damp from the humidity because the AC wasn't working. It took ten attempts and 24 hours before they finally gave us a room that did not feel like a sauna. Half of the staff was rude, and the other half just had no ability to help us. From the moment we walked in, the staff was incompetent, there were lines of people waiting for the very small elevator (one of two was not working) and people were smoking wherever they pleased, even inside the elevator! Bottom line, I've been in many hostels and they were much nicer, much cleaner, and in way better condition than this so called 4 star hotel. Do yourself a favor and don't do it!
