"Five-star for everything but policy."
Loved everything about this hotel. Location was, for me, perfect. Raised, as it was, it also appeared to be isolated/safe. Front-desk personnel were stellar, one kinder and happier and more helpful than the next. The room was exceptional--nicely ordered, decorated, cleaned with windows that opened! But some newfangled policy just about ruined it all for me. Having completed check-in, I was informed that no dishes, flatware, glasses, pots, pans, etc., were actually IN THE ROOM, but I "could order them" and they'd arrive in no time. When I arrived in the room, I saw a description of the various "packages" that would complete the so-called "kitchen." Meanwhile I couldn't even make a cup of coffee. Because I needed to get out quickly for an event, I couldn't chance a delivery that caught me in the shower, so I decided to wait until later to order everything. But having returned to the hotel at about 11, I saw no one at the desk and delayed, again, asking for the "packages." Once in the room, tho, I was too tired to wait for packages that would serve me all of one cup of coffee. The reason I choose Extended Stays is the convenience of a kitchenette; but a kitchenette without so much as a coffee cup--not even a paper one!--isn't much use to me.
Please go back to stocking the rooms the old way!
