I liked staying here. Great staff. The atmosphere of the lobby was pleasant. Rooms were comfortable, the beds were nice as well. I only stayed one night, so I wasn't able to use the pool or spa, yet it looked well kept and inviting.

Disappointed

Posted 26-Jul-2014
Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: Air conditioning noise and effectiveness.
Location: Rocky Mountain National Park
Looking for a room for three adults and found out when I arrived that it was a room with one king size bed only. Had to pay 20 dollars extra each night for 2 double beds. Not happy to be deceived. I would not recommend the website I used to book this hotel.

a good deal

Nothing bad to say. The only thing negative, the common areas where in need of updating but that was out of the staffs control and was not so bad. otherwise a great deal. staff was great.

Staff is wonderful, from check-in to check-out

Posted 02-Jul-2014
Pros: EVERYTHING
Location: There is a Fantastic Park within a few minutes; it's kinda next door . . .We used the park as a filming background. Totally beautiful with a lake
This is a Special Hotel . . .The Staff really cares about You. I had a very unique request that the staff was able to handle without any question. . . Plus, We were editing a film and they were able to handle an edit mouse and an extra chair without any problems. Wish I remembered everyone's names; remember the British Guy a la cranberry juice/vodka . . . Breakfast is great and the wait staff is special. Remember to add your tip in the container where you present your blue breakfast slip. The staff really appreciates it. I really enjoyed every minute here.

The rooms are always clean, comfortable beds, plenty of space, and flat screen tvs with a/v hook ups for game systems or dvd players. There have been periodic problems with the showers. The hot breakfast buffet and omelet station are usually good, not great. The hot tub is NEVER working at full capacity. Last time the heating element was broken my ENTIRE stay. My most recent visit only HALF of the jets were working.

Mostly Likely Never Again

Posted 15-May-2014
Pros: The staff was very friendly.
Cons: The rooms need to be updated or the price needs to be dropped to $50.00 per night.
Location: Pretty good location, close to many restaurants.
The online pictures are much nicer looking than the actual hotel is. It looks as if the entire facility was nice 25 years ago but hasn't been improved since. My room was next to the elevator shaft and vibrated every time the elevator was used (I'm sure that not every room there is like this). The desk chair was stained and dirty. Everything in the room except for the television was very old. There was not an inner shower curtain which caused the water to spray out all over the bathroom floor. The silver cover that holds the tissues in the bathroom sink counter fell to the ground when I touched it. The entry way lights to the room were blown out. There was a hole in my bed sheets. I couldn't get the iron board to collapse properly when I finished with it. I don't usually complain about hotel rooms and I could go on. Bottom line is that this hotel is disappointing and in serious need of renovations.

Nice hotel, older, needs some work, great staff

Posted 10-May-2014
Pros: The night staff. Very nice and accomodating.
Cons: Older hotel, needs repairs and upgrades.
Location: Location was fine.
Had to switch rooms. The A/C didn't work in the first room. Only one girl working the desk when we arrived late at night but she was awesome. The hotel is older and needs some work. The ice machine on our floor was broken so we had to go up to the 2nd floor for ice. Quiet.

This was a respite night close to home.

Pros: Smoke free, great bed, nice bathroom and towels, etc. Wonderful view of mountains. Nice carpeting.
Cons: Paint, colors.
Location: Right off I25, handy to many restaurants, with a dining room in hotel. Did not do anything but eat and sleep! .
We needed a night away from a granddaughter and great granddaughter who live with us!. My husband chose this in the middle of the night for a surprise for us the next day. Hotel is older, maybe 30yrs or so. Colors were red and gold, dated. But the room itself was clean with a new, wonderful bed. The top sheet did not fit the mattress, so woke up to messy bed. But the sleep was great. The towels were plush and clean and pleasant smelling. Bathroom had been updated. And clean. The was a handicap bar in tub/shower, and it wasn't a handicapped room, so we appreciated that for safety, as wife is disabled. Microwave, fridge, large flatscreen TV. Room wasn't especially large, but quite sufficient. We were very pleasantly surprised. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
