“Best hotel in McLean, VA!”
My husband and I had a wonderful time at this hotel. It's classy, comfortable and an overall fun experience. It's connected to the Galleria which is the upscale sister to the original Tysons Corner Shopping Center. You only have to park your car and everything is right here. The rooms are beautifully furnished as only you would expect from a Ritz-Carlton and have all the amenities to make your stay enjoyable. The hotel provides delicious snacks such as homemade cookies in the lobby and had hot chocolate and hot apple cider in the reception area which is free to the guests of the hotel. You can come back to your room and relax or eat at one of the hotel restaurants such as Entyse Bar & Grill which has live jazz Friday nights from 8:00 to 12 a.m. Restaurants at the mall include Maggianos and The Cheesecake Factory. The manager Kevin is a true professional and knows how to treat his guests. A nice touch in the evening is a maid who gently knocks on your door to ask you if you need anything, extra toileties, turndown service or some chocolates which she will give you. Class! I also want to make mention of Romey one of the pastry chefs who was an absolute sweetheart when I made an order over the phone. She was so pleasant and accomodating and provided us with some fancy cupcakes and cookies to die for. All in all the hotel is a great experience. This was our second time here and I would definitely recommend this hotel as 5 stars.
“I would definitely go back to the Ritz Carlton, Tysons Corner!”
Upon arrival, I was welcomed warmly by hotel staff'. The hotel was polished and well maintained. My room was very comfortable and clean. The menu offered a variety of interesting meals. The spa was okay. Jazz was great!
“Worst Ritz ever!”
I have been here many times over last few years. This time, I was disappointed so much. Not cleaned (a house keeper came back to do cleaning over again...) well, asked for late-check-out and I got 30 min more! (used to be 2 hr more), etc.
“Wonderful stay!”
Classy, friendly, wonderful location, one of the best stays in the middle of a city.....my only reservation is that the parking should be validated or included in the rate...otherwise you are getting your money's worth for your stay...would recommend it....from a seasoned traveller
“Ritz-Carlton quality”
Great service, convenient location and fantastic restaurant
“Restore Sanity”
The metro is not close enough to walk, unless you routinely walk across interstate highways, so it requires the hotel shuttle service- or a cab at $8 ea. way. We needed to get to the Nat'l Mall. 2hr metro wait... front desk suggested we share a cab with 2 other guests... cost $10. pp w/tip, sweet! The hotel staff was VERY helpful with everything. The room was clean and comfortable. On my way to get ice I encountered a maid in the hall at 8pm (really), who gave me extra bottles of water and had ice on her cart! This was my first stay at a R-C, granted, but I see the value now, so it won't be my last! We had 3 meals via room service... food quality was excellent, fast delivery and worth the $. If you are cost concious, there are multiple restaurants a short walk away in Tyson's and you never need step outside, all interconnected. Once the metro connects in 2013 this will be my favorite DC hotel.
“Inconvenient to Metro”
Despite the fact that the hotel was listed as having shuttle service to the Metro, it was too inconvenient - long waits and short hours for the service. We ended up taking taxis to and from the Metro because the service was so inconsistent. Though the property was beautiful and it was nice to be attached to the upscale mall, I wouldn't stay here again. The added time and expense to get into the city wasn't worth it.
“Best valued Ritz Carlton in the country!”
Ritz Carlton, great standards, great location great service.
“Wasn't the worst...but hotel service and friendliness of staff could have been much better.”
The location of the hotel was wonderful. However, the staff could have been much more "customer oriented". As far as the price, I feel they overcharge. The first two nights were perfectly reasonable as far as price. However, when we wanted to book a 3rd night for during the week, the price was doubled. We checked out and got a different hotel. Normally, most hotels are much more accommadating to guests.
