Wouldn't go back

Posted 05-Aug-2014
Pros: Polite staff. Clean. New decor.
Cons: New carpets might improve the smell. Make the eating area a bit larger.
The staff was polite but the building is not up to par. Room smelled like old cigarette smoke. We could actually hear our upstairs neighbours speaking. The air conditioner in our room would go on every 10 minutes for about 1 minute, no matter what temperature we set it at. The eating area was very small. We were literally eating at a table 1 foot from the reception desk. Food was just ok.

This hotel still has a smoking section. Not a big fan.

Just for sleep.

Location: didn't see much, was passing through. We just needed a place to crash for the night before heading out the next morning.
Staff was curtious. Room was smal but well kept and clean. Would stay again.

Great Room and Location

Posted 18-Jul-2014
Pros: Very convenient location and it was very peaceful.
Location: Fredericksburg Central Park is a few miles down 95S.
The check in time was earlier than expected. Room very clean and hardly heard any of the other guests on the floor.

Cons: The carpet in the stairway and hallway were dirty.
Easy booking. Arrived late no problem with check in. Room clean, bathroom small. cramped area for breakfast.

Not a great stay

Posted 18-Jun-2014
Pros: Not much of anything other than convenience for entry with our room card at the back entrance.
Cons: Update the rooms and make them larger. Fix flooring between floors so they're more sound proof.
Location: Not far from I-95 so convenient to a lot of restaurants and businesses.
The floor above us squeaked every time someone walked across it and this was every night from 10:00 until after midnight before it finally got quiet enough to sleep. Rooms are very small with no closet area to store luggage. No luggage rack to put your cases on. Bathroom is extremely small and you almost had to step out of the bathroom to open the shower door. Staff was very polite whenever I went to them to asked why our room had not been cleaned. Also, we pre-paid for our rooms to get a better room rate and still had a $280 hold placed on our credit card that was suppose to be for incidentals only. To say the least, we won't stay here again.

Good deal.

The hotel was clean, the staff very friendly. The shower was not properly balanced causing the hotel floor to become wet and dangerously slippery.

Pleasantly Surprised

Posted 08-Jun-2014
Pros: Great value for a reasonable price. Comfortable mattresses and pillows. Sitting area in hall allowed for husband to read when I wanted to sleep.
Location: Very convenient to I-95 where we were traveling from NY to NC. Could walk to a buffet or a Hardee's without needing to get back in traffic.
The rooms are small, but well appointed. No wasted space, and nicely decorated (looked new). Brand new shower. Even on a busy road (Route 17 at the junction with 95) road noise was not noticeable and it was very quiet. The front desk staff person was very accommodating when I asked to change my room when I first got there. When unlocking the door, I heard an argument occurring in the next room and feared it might be a problem later on when trying to sleep. When I explained the situation, the gal at the front desk immediately gave me a new room. It was nice and quiet, even though it is close to the major road of Route 17, almost at the junction with I-95.

Hotel was good basic stay, room comfortable with one exception. Shower had absolutely NO pressure very hard to get clean.
