“Good price for a luxury feel”
I was impressed with the hotel decor, overall cleanliness and hotel staff. Everyone was very nice. We arrived on Thanksgiving Day when there were few patrons, so it was maybe okay for there to be just one valet. . .But, over the next couple days, with more people staying there, they really needed about 3 valets. Still, there was only one (the other valet called in sick). So, each time, it took about 30 minutes to get my car once I found someone to retrieve it! I didn't feel like it was worth the $25/day parking fee to wait this long every time, so I ended up parking around the corner (literally behind the hotel) at a garage for about half the cost. The concierge was helpful and understanding. Other than that, the room was clean and neat and we had a great view! Beds and pillows were comfortable. I wish the shower water pressure had been less intense, though - I decided to take baths instead! The only other negatives were waiting at night (after a long day in DC) for the shuttle at the Marriott Crystal City Gateway (where you pick up the Metro) to take us back to the Hyatt. It was nice to have the free service to and from, but, again, wish there hadn't been such a wait. . . and the room was a bit noisy in the middle of the night. overall, we got a very good (non-refundable) rate through Expedia and we would stay there again.
“Great room, not so hot valet service and $25 parking charge”
Very contemporary and modern/elegant looking lobby and hotel rooms. This hotel looks pretty new. Location is 5 minutes from Reagan International (DCA) so perfect for staying if you have an early flight out the next day. $25 mandatory valet parking charge that is pretty stiff. Travel tip: they have menus for local places that will deliver food to the hotel (just ask at the front desk) and you can pick up in the lobby by the back security door and take it to your room, which is especially convenient, enjoyable and less expensive when traveling with kids. Hyatt has great bedding and beds, and a good work area if you need to do work. Wireless is pretty expensive though. Lots of outlets for electronics, and good lighting. Flat screen tv. Small but efficient bathroom, and closet.
“Fabulous experience”
I had an awesome stay and an amazing deal! The staff was super friendly, room service was fast and the delivery service was the best I have ever experienced. The room was nice with an awesome view of Crystal City and a very nice workout facility. I would definitely recommend this hotel and stay again!
“Great Weekend Getaway!”
Took advantage of their breakfast for two package that came with a full service buffet with an omelet station and various breakfast options and it was delightful. Great weekend getaway in the heart of crystal city with plenty food choices and the metro only a 10-15 min walk away. Staff was very accomodating and hotel was clean and well kept. Will be back very soon for another getaway.
“Virginia's best hotel.”
Everything perfect.
“Good rates & value”
No complaints here. The hotel was busy with a couple of conventions/trainings but I still felt like the staff gave \all guests the time and attention needed to make their stays comfortable. Modern, clean, and free shuttle to/from metro and airport was an added benefit! Only negative was that some rooms with connecting doors are a little noisy. Good rates and value here!
“Great Experience!”
I prefer this particular Hyatt hotel over other Hyatts.
“DC, the government doesn't want us there!”
The hotel was up to par for what you would expect from the Hyatt. The only problem we had was the house keeper knocking on our door at 8:30 to see if we had checked out of the room. I asked the front desk what time check out was, they said Noon. I suggested they tell their staff. The other problem was I had to call the operator to tell them to put on clean sheets and towels. The informing card stating this was small with small scripted writing too. I had to put on my strong glasses to read it. I think a card on the bed is a better option to this question. A bit to much for a high end hotel. If I wanted to sleep on dirty sheet and use dirty towels I would have stayed at Motel with 6 in the name. The airport nearby made the trip really work since we had to leave our bag at the hotel while site seeing that day. Just a quick stop back at the hotel and a free ride to our gate made the trip a success. If you go to DC take the time to ride the M to U street and walk across the street to eat at Ben's Chili Bowl. This was the highlight of my trip. Don't expect your government to welcome you with open arms. You can't get close to anything!! If they don't have it torn up they have it closed to the public for "Truff Restoration"! BS, they just don't want you there! Enjoy the Smithsonian’s but pass on the National Aquarium. It's a joke! Have a great trip!
“Great Price/Good Location”
Was in DC for the Marine Corp Marathon and wanted a hotel that was in the general vicinity of the start/finish in Arlington. The quality of the facility and service was typical for a Hyatt....which means very good to excellent. Was very pleased with the shuttle that normally ferries you back and forth to the Metro in Crystal City (about a 10-15 minute walk) and in the case of the marathon took the runners to the shuttle buses on 23rd St. The room was spacious, very clean and comfortable...and the shower was nice and hot after the run. This is a great location as there are plenty of restaurants within a 5-10 minute walk, and the Metro is close by to to get to anywhere else.
“Best hotel in Washington DC I've ever been”
Very convenient location, near the Ronald Reagan airport. Shuttle service to both, metro station and the airport. Great breakfast at affordable price. Clean and quiet rooms. You can print your boarding passes in the lobby. Very kind people. Excellent service.
