“Wonderful hotel. Would go back there again.”

The Hyatt Dulles was a wonderful hotel. The facility was very attractive and well kept. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were well appointed right down to the supply of shampoo, conditioner, body lotion and toothpaste. Most hotels/motels we stay in only offer shampoo. The breakfast buffet was great - the fruit was very fresh and sweet. After being in Europe, we found the food service to be a great value.

“Wonderful people in a great Hotel”

This perticular hotel catered to the business traveler with it's multiple conference rooms and computer center for anyone to use with free interent and general office supplies. But as a family we felt just as welcomed with it's friendly staff, the waiters knew you by the 2nd day and you were always greeted with a smile. The rooms had plenty of space and room services was excellent. Not close to DC but down the road from Dulles Airport.

Area recommendations

Washington DC was not close but had so many museums and historical sites. Georgetown was also very nice.

Dining

There was an amazing Gelato shop on 7th Street close to the Archives building. They sold a Mojito gelato that was sooooo good. It started with a P, I can't remeber the name but it was right next door to a restaurany called Merci. Which was also very good for a not so heavy and affordable lunch.

“Nice but the location - not so much”

Hotel itself was great and the workout facility with the indoor pool and spa was a treat. The location was close to the airport but anything else you'd need a taxi or a car.

Area recommendations

Reston Hyatt - you'd be around restaurants and shops without needing a car or shuttle service.

“Hyatt Dulles Review”

The location for airport was perfect. The location for other restaurants and shopping was isolated. There was no shuttle service to any other shopping malls or restaurants. Food was good at the small restaurant. The shuttle to the airport was good and complimentary. The room was lovely.

“Great Stay!”

I stayed at the Dulles Hyatt the day before leaving for an international trip. The staff was courteous and very helpful. I ate dinner and breakfast in the hotel dining room and the food was delicious and the wait staff was very attentive. The shuttle service to the airport provided by the Hyatt was prompt and efficient. I highly recommend the Dulles Hyatt.

“Not Impressed”

Everything was as expected, BUT once we got in the room it was NOT as expected. The room small, the carpet was soaking wet inside the door, there was mold in the shower,and there were loud unruly guests down the hall from us. For a 4 star hotel, I would have rated it as a 2.

“Not what I expected”

This was not what I expected from the Hyatt. People in other rooms were very noisy even when we called the front office the noise continued until 2:30 a.m. and then at 6:00 a.m. it started again. The sofa looked like it had seen better days the middle was sagging, the packets of sugar and cream (no tea) looked man handled and to top it off we could only watch the main channels or pay for everything else, the other channels that were free were the info commercials. This hotel was a big disappointment. I contacted the Hyatt customer relations and related my experience and their solution was to stay with them again while paying for a standard room and being upgraded, which sounded good until I checked the reviews of hotel to where we would be traveling next. We were totally shocked the reviews were as bad as this one and the standard room rate was too expensive. I don't think the Hyatt is all it is cracked up to be.

The area was perfect because they are close to the airport and have a shuttle, which we used.
