“Great place to stay!!”
Comfortable, convenient and affordable.
“Not bad”
I thought the staff was very pleasant and accommodating.
“Possible double billing”
I booked this on expedia but the hote has a pending charge on the card for the hotel stay we will see if its removed but it was a hassle to call and ask
“personnel willing to address ur concerns ie.( smelly room)”
We had decent room and amenities for the money. would stay there again
“Very nice”
This hotel is well situated for the traveler who needs to go to both Old Town Alexandria and the Capitol. While I would call it a hike, it is a reasonable walking distance from the heart of Old Town Alexandria, with sightseeing opportunities along the way. Guests should consider making the walk at least once. This property appears to be of recent construction. There are some good nearby restaurants, in easy walking distance. I also like that it is across the street from a grocery store, this facilitates the purchase of bottled beverages and deli style foods for those occasions when one wishes a break from restaurant food. It features desirable amenities such as the pool and the fitness room. The computer in the lobby worked and, more importantly, so did the printer. The lobby is spacious and welcoming. The staff were friendly and helpful. I got the room for an out-of-state associate who had to make a court appearance to file documents in person and to make oral representations regarding a case in an Alexandria court. The quality of the accommodations contributed to success in these ventures.
“Great family vacation”
The hotel was a perfect location for our family visit to DC. We have 2 boys, ages 10 and 13, so easy access to the Metro, restaurants, and grocery were important as well as a comfy room and pool. Hotel provided shuttle service to the metro which made going into DC extremely easy. Two restaurants in the hotel were very good - our 13 year old still raves about the chicken parmesan. Service was top-knotch and our room was very clean and comfortable. Royal Diner was an easy walk and is popular for being there for over 100 years. Fantastic brunch on Sunday. Pizza Pan an easy walk for low key dinner in a rush. We would return in a heartbeat.
“Old Town Hotel but not Old Town prices”
Was just in town for the night for a baseball game. The hotel was easy to find, very convenient to have a grocery store across the street. Found street parking NO problem so do not pay the Valet unless you are uncomfortable with leaving your car on the street. The neighborhood is very safe however. Did have to drive into Old Town as it wasn't super close and the weather was still a little chilly but even that wasn't bad. The room was big, modern and clean - no complaints at all.
“Conveniently located, GREAT neighborhood!”
This is a very nice hotel. I would highly recommend it for business or leisure. The neighborhood is lovely.
“Wonderful stay”
We stayed in this hotel while attending a wedding. We were able to walk to the wedding destination, and the room was very nice. The only problem we had was with a double billing issue with Expedia and the hotel. Still working that out...
“Won't stay there again”
The staff was helpful and location was convenient to the metro but the rooms were not in good shape. We were checked into a room that reeked of cigarette smoke. I went back to the desk to make sure it was a non-smoking room, and it was supposed to be, so the woman at the desk promptly switched our room for us. The new room smelled really musty and felt damp but we had to run out to an appointment so we didn't go through switching rooms a second time. That night when we got back my boyfriend pulled back the curtains and saw some dark mold on the wall. Not good. Like I said, helpful staff, convenient location, kind of gross rooms.
