“very disappointed”

very disappointed, the room condition is poor, bed and sheets are quite old and worn, the wall is very thin that you can easily hear people chatting from the next room. the hotel is also quite far away from DC, 35 min drive

I stayed for one night and the stay was comfortable. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast with range of varieties for kids and adults. I would go back to this hotel next time.

“not happy with the room”

The room smelled musty. It may not have been used for sometime or may not have beed aired properly. I asked the front office to send someone to spray the room and they did so. The musty scent did not go away. I felt my skin itching me all the time I was there. This was an awful room. Its location for my businees was good. The neighborhood was excellent. The employees were pleasant and very helpful

“Good Value”

Room was clean and neat. Free breakfast selection was excellent and included hot items. Workout area although small was well equipped and much appreciated. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

“great place but not as close to DC as I would have liked”

Other than the distance to DC, this hotel played a big part of a wonderful weekend. It reminded me of trips I used to take to my grandma's house. They greeted us with a bowl of fresh crisp apples and a plate full of yummy cookies and left us with a small but tasty chocolate candy in our room. The breakfast buffet was fantastic. Their nicely decorated dining room accommodated the large number of other guests who had also booked this hotel for the event. The breakfast buffet provided us with enough food to hold us until we were finally able to eat dinner. Their buffet included an assortment of breakfast pastries, fresh fruit, a wide range of yogurts, tasty omelets, sausages, pancakes, bagels, cold and hot cereals on top of that they provided three types of fruit juices, flavorful coffee and even have peanut butter! We were too busy to use their complementary bicycles or well lighted gym with all types of equipment. We took the Metro at a park and ride location between the hotel and DC where we bought all day passes to avoid needing to pay for parking and could travel all around DC once the crowds thinned out. The room was equally cozy with a large flat screen TV, hair dryer, refrigerator and coffee maker. They have free wireless as well as provide computers to check email and print airline confirmation tickets.

Area recommendations
Being unfamiliar with Washington DC, I mistakenly booked this hotel that was at least 20 miles from the Rally to Restore Sanity and/or Fear at the Mall. We needed to pay a total of $1.75 at the two tolls booths between DC Airport and this hotel--so if you stay here bring enough quarters. All these wonderful benefits made me wonder why this hotel was ranked as a 2.5. It was better than places I have stayed that were ranked much higher.

“What a breakfast!”

The hotel was a better than average Holiday Inn. What really surprised me was the breakfast buffet. I had never seen such a complete buffet at any hotel before! The service was good as well as the location. Many restaurants close by.
